Also decided it was finally time to show the original design I had for the Kain Kaiser character. I still love it and I think it's awesome, but as time went on I felt like it wasn't 100% what I wanted for the character, which is why it differs so greatly from the actual look I went for with him.
I thought for sure I had posted regarding this character but nope, I think I only included him in one of the videos I made & nothing further. Within the spectrum of speedster superheroes, V-Locity is pretty straightforward. As of now, he's usually seen assisting either Violet or other heroes, but I definitely want to get him his own solo adventures going down the road.
A bit of a comparison between Wildcard & Adiris Grim:
This is one of those mother-daughter cases where the only thing they really have in common is the clown aesthetic. Outside of the humor aspect, I'd say that Adiris is a lot more similar to Kanan than Wildcard. I'd honestly say Adiris is essentially exactly what Wildcard would be like if she wasn't a supervillain.
Deimos
Deimos here is the son of the Titan Ka'Narias. He is a supervillain, and is very much like his father. Just like Ka'Narias is extremely jealous in regards to Ti'Kar, Deimos houses a lot of that same jealousy where it concerns Kanan Cross. So, in a sense, Kanan & Deimos's rivalry is something of a continuation of the family feud between Ti'Kar & Ka'Narias.
A couple more "casual" shots of Thane Grim in his base Titan form. These are definitely among my favorites.
Xaria - Huntress Titan (Adoptive Mother of Thane Grim)
Haven't posted a lot of Xaria, especially now that she has this look. Didn't hate the original design I posted, but this one is just so much better. I posted one showcasing this design & her base Titan form, but Xaria is still a bit of a WIP since I haven't fully figured out exactly what I want for her "full" Titan form. I have ideas, but I want to make it appropriately badass for this character since she's one of my heavy hitters.
It's no secret that this character is inspired by Superman, and lately I've been getting so incredibly pumped to show off more of him and to also start thinking of different ways to present him story wise. I've been having this itch to revisit Smallville (for the millionth time haha) because that version of Clark Kent/Superman is the primary version (along with Christopher Reeve, of course) that made me want to create a character like this.
There's also some inspiration from Goku regarding Saint, and it was a real struggle over the years to make this character be able to stand out & not be a derivative of the aforementioned characters. I think I've successfully struck that middle ground & I'm hoping people will be satisfied with what this character will have to offer.
Superman has always been a major inspiration in my life just because of what he stands for. I see lots of people always comparing other characters to him & talking about how this and that character would beat him in a fight. But that's not my goal here. It isn't about creating a "better" character or making him more powerful. I want to capture some of that heart & essence with Saint in a way that resonates with people & hopefully gives them that same inspiration and hope I had growing up.
Guess I forgot to mention these here along the way. But, it's just me experimenting with more themes. Except for Thane's, that was a song I bought years ago. Stored it, listened to it last August and realized it fit Thane perfectly. I do plan to try my hand at more themes that aren't just for Titan related characters and to be more and more expansive with the music.
Specter
Spectra
Without giving away too much, I'll just state the obvious that the characters are connected. But the how and why are something I just want to gradually explore when I fully unveil these characters story wise.
Been nice taking somewhat of a more Jason Voorhees-esque approach with the Eradicator and constantly toying with his look. I honestly want to get even crazier with his designs. With a character that's been around for millions of years and has went through hundreds, if not thousands of deaths and rebirths, it leaves a lot of room to play around with his appearance.
There are many characters in-universe that have been inspired by Wildcard, but I think Smiley will be the most intriguing of them. Mainly because you get to see her journey and what leads to her making the decisions she does that cause her to become this maniacal killer.
The Knights of Leviticus City (Ki Knight, Zeth Knight, Rogue Knight, Zephyr Knight, Marx Knight):
This idea originated from me wondering how a story with Blackout & Wildcard would be if they were younger. But then I decided to make a whole new crop of characters that would be inspired by both sides. The Knights by Blackout & Smiley by Wildcard. It's a nature versus nurture story & showcases how differently people can react, even when under similar circumstances & pressure.
The main thing I enjoyed about crafting these characters was showing them learning as they go along. None of them are highly experienced, and it shows in their chaotic encounters.
Before Thane Grim takes on the title of "Tribal Titan King" or becomes known as the Dragon God, he is apart of a group known as the "Dragon Syndicate" early on. The group consists of Thane and two individuals (Zach Kolt & Axel Hayes) he meets and be-friends somewhat randomly. And these two individuals also happen to be meta-humans with unique capabilities of their own.
The team is essentially a bounty hunter-esque group that mostly deals with mid-size threats.
Got a little inspired by Godzilla from "Godzilla x Kong" & wanted to see how that would translate to Kanan. I am pleasantly surprised with the results.
