I'm using Windows Live Hotmail to type an important letter. I think it would look quite professional if it were double spaced. Only trouble is, I have no clue if it's even possible or how to do it if it is possible. Please help me.

I'm not sure how to do it either, but why don't you just type a letter in Word or something and send it as an attachment on the e-mail?

yah imaperson has the best idea. Type it out in Word(if u dont have word.. download open offce) and attach it in an email

The person I'm sending the E-Mail to doesn't want an attachment.

I think he meant, type it in word or open office, then when done, copy and paste the text into the email....

Open WORDPAD...not Notepad...that is an RTF editor

How do I turn on the Rich Text Editor?

In Hotmail after clicking "New," There should be an option right under the Subject heading that says, "Show Rich Text." click it, and a new toolbar should be added to the top of where you compose your e-mail messages. You should now be able to paste in a Word paragraph that has been formated for double spacing.

I tried the Rich Text thing. Didn't work. I'm about ready to cry.

I'd just like to know one thing...why is it that he/she doesn't want it sent as an attachment?

Worst comes to worst you just manually make the text double spaced in hotmail. I don't know why it didn't work, it worked for me. Are you sure the Word document is actually formatted to be double spaced, or is it single spaced and every line just skips a space down?
