E3 2009

I changed it from A to F, might be easier to determine for mosts.

But I think I'm with you teardrop.

The end saved the entire conference from disaster, I think.

I would have have given it a 4 or 5, or D I guess...but it ended up around a 6 or 7 because of the finale of the conference.

Next time, they should just get Reggie to host the whole damn thing too.

6...nintendo will not fool me with their magicians tricks, saving Metroid till the end

Conduit and Dead Space looked good, but Metroid did steal the Nintendo show easily. Tho for the FPS Metroid haters...Metroid Prime was actually a good game IMO, atleast I enjoyed it.

Anyway, I won't be down on it anymore as I said what I wanted to say earlier. To tell the truth, it's probably better if I don't rehash "Women's murder club" and give it any serious thought lol. I just honestly think Nintendo didn't do very well this year. Tho I give them credit for not having any overly embarrassing moments this year either heh.

so the verdict, wii e3 was not good overall. the first half SUCKED. that old crone hyped mario up to colossal proportions with the "15 yrs in the making 4th dimension game" then show that lame 4 player game. i wasn't interest in the least with the majority of the games, not even galaxy 2. but i must say the second half redeemed ninetendo a little, and it took a franchise that doesn't even exist to me (metroid) to make me excited.

Galaxy 2, Conduit, Metroid, Dead Space were all cool.

I find it hard to judge the DS titles, but there were some good ones there too.

But, yeah...Nintendo saved the conference at the end there. So, it ended up being all right, I guess.

Hmm, interesting. I think I'd give Microsoft a B+ or A.

Live demo of Splinter Cell, Live demo of Alan Wake, announcing Metal Gear Solid Rising, the new Netal looked promising.

D+

For reference, I would probably give Microsoft's a C+.

Pretty much the same for me, but drop the + from Nintendo's score. I felt both Nintendo and MS did better than last year, but it's kinda hard to do worse than last years Nintendo show.

With MS it just balanced out. The majority of the show put me to sleep, especially the Twitter/Facebook, and Natal stuff. They showed some multiplat/timed exclusive stuff again. They showed some stuff we knew about. However Alan Wake, MG: Rising, and SC Conviction made up for the rest of the show IMO. So I'd give it a C+, a bit better than average, but not stellar.

Now just to hope Sony's show isn't graph and chart heavy as it's the one I'm most interested in. After MS getting MG, and them Sony saying they had a "Megaton announcement", the hype level is high and Sony really needs to step it up a level from last year IMO.

wasn't that UbiSoft? I thought Microsoft had their conference today

I would have given Microsoft a B+ or an A-, but I coudn't care less about all that Twitter and Facebook stuff. And I had to drop a full letter grade for Natal on principle alone.:o

Oh and Paul MCcartney and Ringo Starr stopping by was cool too.

I think excitement factor matter too.

The Nintendo conference was rather dull, I think. Even with some cool stuff.

Paul and Ringo stopping by would have been cool if they acted like they wanted to be there lol. I actually think it worked against the conference. They mumbled a bit, said, "Thanks for letting us be on your...gameshow. Guess they want us to talk amongst ourselves. Oh, buy our game!", and then walked off.

I thought the Netal was promising.

Anything that gets me closer to a Sci-Fi movie future, where I can shuffle through the dashboard with no controller at all.

Nah, yesterday Microsoft had the first conference.

It's hard for the rest, too, I think...because there were so many live demos.

Live demos are great to see.

Well, Sony has 7 or 8 games that have been confirmed as being playable at the show, so they could potentially match that if they take advantage of that at the conference

The Beatles game looks f***ing amazing, so I don't really care if Paul and Ringo weren't interested.
