E3 2010

Here's a list of announced 3DS games:

Majesco
Martha Stewart

Scariest survival horror game ever :(

How was Konami's conference? Anything good? Any chance they finally announced Suikoden VI?

I didn't watch MS's press conference. If I wanted to see how dumb it was, what should I watch?

All of it.

Ok, let´s be honest about it, the press conference wasn´t dumb, it was bad.
For me, the main problem is that:

- There was no surprises (except a Crytek game)
- There was only three live demos, all of them shooters (Call of Duty, Gears 3 and Reach)
- Kinect was underused, all the games are wii clones.
- ESPN on Xbox (it looks great, but it´s a huge FU to any Xbox owner outside the US)

Bottom line, the press conference was just bad, pretty bad for any Xbox fan.

A Surprise Battlefront 3..... we are all desperetly waiting :csad:

Well, you might as well give it up because it's not going to happen. The most recent version of Battlefront 3 was cancelled just a couple months ago.

The new True Crime looks awesome, loved the footage that was shown.

I'm sure someone posted this already, but I don't feel like digging about, so I'll post it anyway:

Don't feel like paying the $30 asking price for a PlayStation Move Navigation Controller? There is a cheaper (albeit less comfortable) solution: just use the DualShock controller. At an E3 presentation about the Move, Anton Mikhailov confirmed that the two controllers are interchangeable.

This method of control was actually used at Tokyo Game Show last year, to demonstrate the newly implemented motion controls of Resident Evil 5. While using the DualShock may not be the most attractive way to play, it's certainly nice to know that you have an option to avoid the cost of entry.

I was wondering how they could put those two things separately

RAGE may be the BEST looking game I've seen this gen, and it's running on a 360.

Wow, that's really depressing. :(

I really don't know what EA is thinking with Medal of Honor. Yeah, it looks good, but I've got no interest in it because it looks like just a boring hybrid between Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2. I already have both of those games, and EA has not given me any reason to be excited about Medal of Honor other than "The multiplayer is just like Bad Company 2's! It's even made by the same guys!" I think the industry's current goal is to make all the top selling games exactly the same, to the point where competing publishers are sharing the same source code and agreeing to split up the profits regardless of who's version of the game sells more. :tinfoilhat:

I'm not entirely happy with the Navi's price, and know you can use a regular PS3 controller, but I'm going to end up buying one anyway. I do play multiplayer games with friends from time to time, but usually if it's with 4 ppl it's going to be done thru computers with FPS games. I think my friends would kidnap and torture me to death if I invited them over for a Move dance party lol.

So for me it'll be the Move package since I don't have a PS Eye ($100), a Navi ($30), and an extra Move ($50), so $180. Which all things considered isn't bad for me. I'll have both the Navi and two Move option, and when I bring a friend over for multiplayer I'll have 2 moves for that, and if a 2 player game requires movement my friend or I can just use one of my Dualshocks. Even tho it'll be a somewhat big upfront cost, the plus is that the games themselves are only supposed to be $40. So after that initial investment the games themselves are actually at a nice price.

Tho if I was in Sony's shoes, I would drop the Navi and Move down $10 each to match the Wii's controller pricing (tho with motion plus I think the Wiimote actually comes out $5 ahead of a single Move).

You can get Wii Motion Plus bundled with games for just $10 more.

Yeah, I've been FPS'd out for a while. It's such an oversaturated market with every other game looking identicle to another on the market. That's why I typically wait for standout FPS's like Fallout, Bioshock 1, Resistance. I haven't played Killzone 2 yet, but I'll be getting 3, and probably buy 2 as well since it's only $30. However that's mainly due to me not buying many FPS's anymore. If I played all of the COD's in the world Killzone 3 might not have been a buy despite all the impressive stuff shown off.

New Silent Hill is coming. No Suikoden though. :(

Ugh. That truly sucks. I acknowledge that TGS is a more likely platform to launch a Suikoden title, but its been four years, the franchise was never immensely popular to begin with aside from a pretty devoted fanbase, and V underperformed. I'm beginning to think Suikoden is dead :(

You missed a hilariously awkward conference

Maybe Konami should stop pumping out crap Silent Hill game after crap Silent Hill game despite not making a decent one since 3, should stop doing lame Saw movie tie in games that suck, and should stop making Castlevania games that just never seem to able to pull off 3D (and now do not even feature Dracula), and instead maybe make something like Suikoden VI! With the classic turn based RPG genre being completely untouched this generation, there is definitely market for it. But no, instead they'll keep it up and what was once the finest developer around will continue to make nothing worth playing but MGS games. :(

They should make 2D Castlevania games on consoles. As someone said before, I believe Soapy, 2D gaming is just a different style of gaming, not something outdated.

I agree. 2D seems to be making a comeback. Instead of trying to force the game into a format in which it does not really fit, play to its strengths. The notion of a proper Street Fighter IV-esque 2D Castlevania on Wii, using the Wiimote as the whip, is absolutely awesome. At any rate, Konami needs to get their heads out of their asses. Stop trying to be "dark," for the sake of being "dark," with **** like 3D uber-gothic Castlevanias, Saw games, and Silent Hills that are focused on over the top violence as opposed to being focused on geniune scares and tense atmospheres. They need to realize they are not above making niche games like Suikoden and Vandal Hearts. Konami needs to start playing to their strengths again because right now, the only thing that they have right is MGS, and that's not even their doing. Its Kojima's doing.

Yeah, yeah. I know it has RPG elements. I just stuck it in there because it's first person, shooting is the main game mechanic, and it stood out among the millions of other FPS clone games.
