E3 2010

As much as I despise the idea of 3D gaming, I have to admit I'm interested in the "3DS" ...3D gaming WITHOUT glasses and WITHOUT expensive home setups is the ONLY way I'd EVER give 3D gaming a chance.

I really don't think Apple iPod/iPad gaming will ever be as big as Apple thinks it will be.

I would be shocked if that happened. I think it's within the realm of possibility though that Mass Effect 3 will have a simultaneous release on PS3 and 360, if PS3 gets ports of ME1 and ME2.

Yeah, that's really the best they can hope for. None the less, it would still be hillarious.

And if it does take off, the rest of the gaming world will be right there to ape it the following year. :awesome:

I know DA: O is on the PS3...and like I said, Bioware games on the PS3 just don't seem right. Now I KNOW you're crazy if you think KotOR stands a higher chance of releasing on the PS3 over the 360, lol.

Yes because Microsoft's policies on Xbox Live really don't allow MMOs to thrive on the 360. Microsoft made a special deal with Square-Enix to bring Final Fantasy XI on the system. And if Microsoft made a deal with Electronic Arts to bring the Old Republic on the 360, then Atari, Warner Bros., Activision Blizzard, NCSoft, and Square-Enix are all going to demand special treament as well which will lead to a complete revision of their policies which is something Microsoft doesn't want.

Sony on the other hand pretty much allows MMOs to happen. It's why we have Warhawk, MAG, Free Realms, DC Universe Online, the Agency, and Final Fantasy XIV on the system.

This kid with the fro on G4 bugs me...

BTW, they just called "New Super Mario Bros. Wii" a friggin Port. It's a completely different game with completely different areas. Good journalism G4...

I understand Microsoft's policies. But again, KotOR coming to the 360 eventually is honestly something I expect, along with FF14.

I could be wrong, but I wouldn't be surprised. I doubt I play either though, the recent trailer for DC Universe made me geek out and I'm still a bit PO'd that they're not continuing KotOR into KotOR III...

Pre-show trivia? What is this, a lame movie theater? :cmad:

And what's with this stupid pop music? I'm going to mute it and put on some REAL music until the show starts.

I highly doubt anyone at G4 are real gamers

Not gonna happen unless Microsoft changes their policies.

Agreed

Calling NSMB Wii a PORT of the DS game just bothers me, lol...Seriously guys, did you PLAY the game or just base it on the NSMB name?

You speak as if its Halo or GOW or some kind of Microsoft owned property. Its not. H_H is right. KOTOR or not, its far more likely to be PS3. There's a reason a game like DC Universe is not on 360 despite it likely being very successful on it. X-Box Live is just not friendly for MMORPGs.

Microsoft and Bioware were really good buddies before EA moved in and ruined the friendship. THAT is why I speak like that.

I'd just rather see a Bioware game on the 360...matter of preference. I honestly wish Microsoft would have bought them up before EA...

Yea TOR isnt headed Xbox's way, like everyone else has said, MS doesnt do MMO's, even tho The Old Republic would see better sales over on MS's console.

Not sure why they're talking down on Wind Waker? Wind Waker >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Twilight Princess.

But they're not good buddies anymore. EA owns Bioware, not Microsoft. And EA will make the decisions of which games go to which consoles, not Bioware. And EA has proven time and time again that they care about only one thing. Money. EA will eventually put ME on PS3. Probably before 3 is released because there is more money in it for them to sell the first two games on PS3 as a way to Hype ME3 on PS3 than release an anthology months after the trilogy is complete. SWOR will be on PS3 because there is money to be made from it in the console market and PS3, not 360, is MMORPG friendly.

DJ Hero 2 is proof that Activision has to much money, the first one sold like crap and yet it gets a second...

Thats with every business. You know the object of a business is to....make money. Thats not a new concept.
