It begins...

I just realized im gonna be at the beach during E3. WORST place possible to be during E3 as you don't want to be inside. Guess im just gonna have to power through it and stay in. F**k the sun, beer and girls in bikinis.

Stay in, watch E3, and bring the beer and bikini girls inside with you.

You're going to waste a good time at the beach for this? I mean, E3 is cool and all, but it's not like you're going to have to see it live. All the content is going to be there for you to cypher through later.

Ya last year I was in the Caribbean during E3. It is all there when you get back. Though I did pre-order my PS4 from my phone when that came up.

I would, lol. I HATE the beach.. I hate sand.. I generally hate large crowds of people.

E3 2014 Conference Times

Microsoft
– June 9, 9:30pm PT / 12:30pm ET / 5:20pm GMT
EA – June 9, 12pm PT / 3pm ET
Ubisoft – June 9, 3pm PT / 6pm ET
Sony – June 9, 6pm PT / 9pm ET / 2am GMT
Nintendo (Digital Event) – June 10, 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm GMT

Yeah, sand sucks. Anakin knew what was up. It's coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere.

Of course, that'd beg the question about why you were on the beach to begin with

I'm gonna be out of town during E3 too. But I'm sure the info won't be going anywhere before I get back. lol

I'll likely be watching live and be posting here and the PS4 thread but yeah YouTube will be flooded with E3 videos within hours of each day

So out of Microsoft/Nintendo and Sony..Which conference are you looking most forward to?,I won't be getting XBO until a few years when the slim comes out and so I don't want to get excited about their stuff yet so I'm avoiding all XBO things,I haven't cared about Nintendo since GameCube,So the only gaming company conference I'll be seeing is Sony's since I already have a PS4

Sony's is the only I care about for its juicy exclusives.

I'm excited for all of them. Even if I don't own a particular system right now (and even if I won't get that system in future) I still get excited about what they're doing and planning and how they're pushing gaming forward. I like the big 3 we have now and would hate for any of them to ever get replaced by a Google or Apple.

I just bought a PS4 and iv owned the One since launch so I'm super eager for sony and Microsofts pressers. I don't own any Nintendo stuff but I'll still be following their news, just not as closely as I would Sony and MS

I actually think Nintendo's might be the most interesting for a couple of reasons. First, I said this in the Nintendo section, but I think the whole "Nintendo Direct" thing they've got going is one of the precious few ways that Nintendo feels ahead of the game. They usually do interesting, clever things with those, not to mention make big announcements, and I don't think this E3 will be any different. Second, I think this E3 could potentially be a pretty clear signpost of where they're headed in the future hardware-wise.

Regardless of what they actually do and say and show, the future of Nintendo is going to be interesting to watch.

Yea that's a good point. I don't expect too many surprises with Sony and MS but with Nintendo, I just don't know.

Sony's "win" last year was just taking advantage of MS bad press leading up to/at the event. I'll be interested to see what they present this year now that they'll actually have to put in some effort and not just rely on MS shooting themselves in the foot.

I'm just glad the consoles are out and now the focus can shift to the games rather than what the systems can or can't do

Is it me or has the console war died down a little now? I used to hate reading gaming media for a while but now it seems back to focusing on games and a bit more positivity.

Just you probably. The console war was never a media thing, always a fan thing. I don't see as much around here outside a few users, but the Hype is a pretty dead forum. Go most places and you'll see it's the same ******** it's always been.

I expect Sony to have the best conference.. But I'm more interested to see what Microsoft does. Like others have said Sony has nothing to prove, MS does and they're always better when they're playing catch up.

Again.. I expect to be more impressed by what Sony's show.. I feel they'll have the best exclusives and the best "get it here first" content. I just want MS to eat some humble pie and show me games.
