What if I told you TLoU wasn't fantastic? Good.. But not fantastic. IMO of course, which I guess is what this comes down to. I'm sorry but as much as I enjoy SK.. I'd rather play big AAA backed Naughty Dog Crash Bandicoot game.

SK is good and plucks on my nostalgia strings.. But I've put maybe two hours in it.. Where as I'm constantly going back to Shadow of Mordor.

I would say that you are entitled to your opinion. I personally think it is overrated. It was my third favorite game of that year, and I think Bioshock was in a whole other league.

And personally, I can't imagine going back to Shadow or Mordor after a certain point. God, for a game that started so good, it ended up being quite a let down.

I'm honestly almost afraid to finally play The Last of Us. The hype surrounding seems like it'd be impossible to live up to.

I'm weird with games. I'll admit. I'm not denying that TLOU is at the end of the day a good game. But it's a one and done for me. I didn't even bother playing the DLC that came with the PS4 version.. because I didn't care. The story was done and over.. everything I needed to know was told to me in THAT story. The fact that they're probably thinking about a sequel upsets me.

I think though it being *so* much like a movie drags it down a little bit for me. Almost like I'd rather be watching it than playing it.

I dunno. Like I said.. Weird.

See, I have played through TLoU, I think four times now? Crazy replayable for me.

Its great. But it feels like it gets overrated by people who haven't ever watched a decent movie in their lives. The gameplay is good. Not great but good. And the story is cliched. But the leads are awesome, the writing sharp and it has great atmosphere.

Uncharted 2 is still their masterpiece imo, but TLoU is great.

Now, I have not played a few key games, like Bioshock, Arkham Knight, and Elder Scrolls (I'm working on quite a backlog).

If you haven't played Bioshock (the first and Infinite) or Portal, you haven't experienced great video writing. Those are the gold standards imo.

I have this difference of opinion with several people regarding those specific two games.

Among Thieves is the Raiders of the Lost Ark of video games, imo. It is brilliantly paced, with terrific gameplay and the finest set pieces I have ever experienced in a game. The only games that come close in that regard for me are God of War 1 and 2. Uncharted 2 is one of the most complete games I have ever experienced.

See I'm not big on Portal and I thought BioShock Infinite was just terrible..(first one is Amazing though) But Uncharted 1-3 (yes.. Even 3, even though its the worst) are three of the best games I've ever played.

Never thought much of the first Uncharted. I love the characters, but the gameplay has all kinds of problems. I'd take the third easily over it, though I find it to be an average game.

I finally started playing Skyrim. Fun game, but its graphics have aged horribly.

Still, I can see the appeal.

ESOnline will hold me over. For some reason people that have never played it don't believe me when I say it's basically Elder Scrolls with friends.. But it is. I enjoyed what I played of it on PC but decided not to continue due to the fact that I knew it would becoming to consoles and was betting on it going F2P.

Also... My PC is a fat turd.
