E3 2016

Yep... this is exactly how i want EA to publicly reveal their official showing of Battlefield 1's multiplayer to the world.... with a bunch of celebrities horribly attempting to play a video game for the first time...

Jeez this is gonna make Polygon's Doom reveal look like a professional esports event. :o

I'm leaning 2018, now. I think if they were shooting for an solid 2017 release, they should have had something more to show. A proper trailer, or a few minutes of gameplay. Something that showed some solid footing.

I get the feeling, with as little as they showed, that they've still got alot of work left to do. So, late 2017 at the soonest seems about right to me. Which would mean we get alot of Mass Effect stuff at next year's E3.

Which is a little disappointing because I'd heard that the aim was for Mass Effect to hit 1st quarter next year. There's no way that's happening, I think.

If comes out early 2017 March seems to be there go to month
if late some time in Oct/Nov

for they say now early 2017

Man I in trouble at the beginning in 2017:funny:
FEb:Persona 5
Feb/Mar:Horizon:Zero Dawn
Mar Possibly Mass Effect: Andromeda

hmm......yeah. I still think Summer 2017 would be the earliest possible release.

Didn't they just put out a Dragon Age last year?

Nah, that was 2014. And honestly, anything they'd had given us for Dragon Age today would have generally been understood as 2018 (or beyond) game. MEA was announced a few years ago. A logo or something, just to know it's in the pipeline, would have been nice is all.

Okay. Still, they put one out very recently.

yeah. with ME hopefully coming out in 2017, I don't see them releasing a DA game as well next year. So, 2018 should be the year for the next DA game. and that would make it 4 years from the last game.

but, if it's in development, they could have dropped a wee hint today, with more info coming at next year's E3.

So what's the countdown for Bethesda's conference?

I wish. I have zero confidence that it'd get a Summer release. I think if we were looking a Summer 2017 release, they should have had more to show. A story trailer, or a few minutes of gameplay.

And if they were looking at a release pre-2017 E3, I think they would have taken the opportunity today to pump up their pre-orders for it. I think them showing so little of ME today means they'll use next year's E3 to show it. So, I'm thinking MEA is looking at a late 2017 release at the soonest.

I mean, they showed us about as much of it as last year's E3. The game must need more time.

The little we saw of Mass Effect looked awesome, but I was hoping for a proper launch trailer or something.

He didn't seem to know where, or why, he was there. That, and every other celeb they had passing through and talking all seemed high as a kite.

So...now that I think about it, doesn't seem so bad.

I was hoping for something, too. A story trailer, or something that gives us a set up for what the pitch of the narrative might be. Even if just your classic CG trailer, not even gameplay.

Was also hoping for something like that for one of the Star Wars games they have in the pipeline. Clearly, MEA and all of those Star Wars games has alot more time and work before any of them are ready, I guess.

Part of me thinks the reason they have resisted the urge to give any game play details is due to the similarities with the original. I mean, the brief synopsis they described is damn near identical to ME1. I wonder if they are trying to keep the comparisons at bay by releasing virtually no information.

Anyway, 15 minutes until IGN's stream that will serve as a mini-Telltale conference.

Is Battlefield 1 going to have a single player story mode? or just multiplayer?

Yeah what they showed for the new SW games was pretty lame if you ask me.

Maybe it was just me but that asari with the black grease on her eyes instantly reminden me of Furiousa from Mad Max :oldrazz: The main player looked somewhat like Eva Mendes too.

I dunno, speaking as a fan of Mass Effect...I'd be okay with the similarities. I've had the feeling that they're going for a more Star Trek approach with this one, but I can't tell if that's just me projecting. I'd be down for a change of gears from saving the galaxy to a more political or just exploring the beyond narrative approach.

And it's been quite a while since Mass Effect 3. Even if it looked really similar, I think it's been enough time, and the concept of having that one current consoles...I think it'd be well received nonetheless.

I just think it must need more time. Which, I'm okay with. I'm all for them taking the time they need and making it as good as it can be. Just a little surprising, since it seems like the release is supposedly a little less than a year away.

Well, that and I kinda got nothing from the EA press conference. I was hoping for some more solid stuff from Star Wars, and was letdown there too. None of the things I was interested in really seem ready to show.
