Its crossbuy. It shouldnt be any different than what we already see with Sony. Two versions are made, one for Xbox and one for PC. If you buy it through the MS store, its added to your account for download on either platform. If you buy retail version, you get a download voucher for PC. They did that with Alan Wake

I don't think they are asking gamers to buy both. I think they are giving options to people who haven't bought an X1 at all yet and giving current owners the option (but still no need) to buy a powerful upgrade. I don't think many who already own an X1 are going to be buying the slim this year and then the Scorpio next. The Slim will probably get a price cut to coincide with the Scorpio's launch to give people a choice between a low price or high performance.

I guess we'll see.

I'll probably end up getting the 1TB or 2TB Slim this August and hold onto that for a few years. By then, the Scorpio should come down in price somewhat and should have proven itself. Then, I can trade in both my Slim and PS4 towards the Scorpio.

theres a difference between outputting at 4K and having a native resolution of 4K. I suspect the native resolution of all games will be 1080p with upscaling to 4K. High end PCs struggle with this so its hard to imagine the XB1 wouldnt

Man, I'm way more excited for Gwent than I'm comfortable admitting. And because CDPR are expert storytellers, they're still going to squeeze in some form of Campaign in there. A free to play game, with some of those hooks, sounds like it could be more interesting than what I was even hoping for (I'd be satisfied with just the card game alone).

I've had more than a few sittings where I sat down to play The Witcher 3, and did nothing but play Gwent for hours. So, a standalone version is up my alley.
