E3 2017

More than anything this E3 I'd love to hear that Capcom is bringing Resident Evil to the Switch in some capacity. I'd also love to see some footage of their Resident Evil 2 Remake.

Monster Hunter XX is coming, so I am happy.

As much as i am hyped to the absolute roof for all things E3 espeically the conferences themselves, you know what i hate the most about the conference?

A Presenter to demo ratio that highly favours the presenter, a conference that usually lasts for 90 minutes is bogged down by far to much presenter talk and barely saving time for the actual game on screen that were all anticipating.

In fact you of the key perpetrators of doing that have always been the big 3 console manufacturers. Sony, Nintendo & Microsoft Executives like to walk on to the stage halfway through the conference and put on their "Here's how X console has been doing this year compared to our competitors." face on as they waste probably up to 20 minutes talking about sales and performance like sony infamously did back in E3 2015, God i hated that...

Which was why Sony E3 2016 conference last year remains to be my favourite E3 conference ever, why? Because of the Presenter to demo ratio i mentioned earlier, take a look at the conference again and notice their presentation style compared to previous years, games after games after so many games and barely any presenters to talk about the game which i love to see, as soon as one video finished, it faded to a black screen for a few seconds then immediately onto the next game, perfection.

[YT]GwofRzkROo4[/YT]

Which is why im glad that they're doing the same thing again this year.

according to Sony global game development boss Shawn Layden "The crowd will only have to suffer I think in aggregate 90 seconds of me, And in the middle will be all the games."

http://time.com/4804768/playstation-4-ps4-pro-psvr-sales/

Call me skeptical but i think that Sony's gonna be the big winner of E3 2017

I don't mind presenters talking about their games as long as they're more or less succinct. What I very much DO mind are when they try to turn E3 into "entertainment" and needlessly drag it out with special guests, dance routines, live music, skits, stand-up, etc.

I just want to see the games.

Ubisoft instantly came to mind for me lol.

All that stuff is a total waste of time. I don't mind good/flashy presentation framing the game shows as long as everything is game related. I don't need to see live music at E3. I can choose whoever I want to see live when I'm in the mood for that, thanks very much. Maybe they should do big game announcements in 2 hour slots in the middle of Justin Bieber concerts.

Which is why I think Nintendo has the best format. Do your 30-60 minute highlight of games and reveals, and then spend the rest of E3 with a more detailed look at upcoming games.

I agree. Nintendo caught a lot of flack for not doing the big presentation anymore, but the Digital Direct stuff is the way to go. You drop your news, hype people up, then move on.

Digital Directs IMHO are better. Less worries about live on stage errors.

They are definetly better but either way is fine with me. Ubisoft sure takes it too far though

All I want is to know when & how much Scorpio is... and seeing the Forza Motorsport 7 reveal (Which i'm 99.99% certain is coming Sunday).

There are so many possible games shown that has potential for greatness than just one or two games. I want to see as much games as possible

Things i'm excited for, for each Conference:

EA: Star Wars: Battlefront II

Microsoft: Project Scorpio

Bethesda: New IP

Ubisoft: Assassin's Creed: Origin

Sony: Death Stranding

Nintendo: Next Metroid Prime

Looks like the Xbox briefing Sunday will likely run longer than the traditional 90 mins.

Good News tbh, the yearly hype train should not be limited to the length of a Pixar film, make 2 or hell even 3 hours if need be, the more the merrier.

As long as it's all top new content rather than stretched out with live music and the like then the longer the better.

That would be aweful lol, wasting everyones time by having a band waste 20 minutes of the conference.

YouTube Live at E3: Sunday A Week of E3 Begins!

[YT]yiTtHyBt8ls[/YT]

With E3 starting this weekend what is everyones final hopes and predictions, so we can come back to them after E3 ends ;)

Predictions :

Scorpio for $499 (hope 399 but will probably be something along 499, maybe higher)
Spider-Man PS4 release date and gameplay
God of War release date and gameplay
New Tom Clancy game (hopefully Splinter Cell)
PS4 Pro price drop (not much, but still), to go to war with Scorpio
Days Gone gameplay and release date

Hopes :

New Arkham game, coming out before the end of the year
Splinter Cell game
Red Dead gameplay
Some nice Switch games, as I didn't buy it just to play Zelda ;)

I think all the gameplay predictions aswell as release date announcements are pretty much a given, along with Call of Duty at the PS4 show etc. etc.

Pretty excited for this E3 in all, hope Xbox has some nice stuff to show this year like Playstation did last year.

Do you think we'll get anything on the Xbox VR headsets? they announced them last year but it's been silence since then.... Have they been dropped or shifted to be packaged with Scorpio?
