E3 game list?

Isn't every other developer dropping out of it every other day, though?

^Yeah, I know. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

When is E3 anyway? It seems like it's a lot later in the year than usual.

It seems your right, looks like Gabe is going to be showing off Episode 3.

I had been to about three E's in the past (thanks to a friend of mine who used to work in the gaming industry), and sadly the E3 right now is very different than the ones I went to. I'm glad that I had gotten the chance to see E3 at their finest, with booth babes, gigantic floor displays, playable demos, and lots and lots of freebies.

Im looking forward mostly to Gears of war 2 and Resistance 2 for the Leviathon.

Aw man, I'm gonna be in a concert when the Sony press conference is on? Nuts and blast!

Sony better blow my mind - They have sooo much to prove!

Who do you think will be the "winner" (best showing) this E3?
Microsoft, Sony or Nintendo?

I don´t expect much from Nintendo, to be quite frank, besides games that is. In the hardware side, i see nothing in the horizon, except, maybe, adding a HDD to the Wii, but that´s it.

From Sony, i really can´t say, except HOME (which i bet will only see the light of day in 09) and movies marketplace.
And some stuff for the PSP.
I heard of a break-a-part controller with motion control, but i can´t really see that happening, or, IMO, is just one more stupid move by Sony.
Why? Two reasons...
1st, to make a new motion controller is the same as to say that the sixaxis sucks and they are not going to use it anymore. It would be better to actually make good use of their own tecnology (sixaxis), then to start from stracht.
2nd, Sony just released a new controller, the DualShock 3. It was just released in the US 4 months ago, and 6 days ago in Europe. Who in it´s right mind would release another one this year? Are they saying that the DS3 is obsolete from the get go? I see no point in that, so, i don´t expect for it to happen, and for Sony´s sake, i hope i´m right.
In the games department, i´m expecting to see something about God of War 3, and maybe, just maybe, it will be a surprissed announcemnt for release later this year.

I expect the best from Microsoft, no because the one i´m really looking foward to (i have a 360, i don´t have a Wii nor PS3), but because it´s the one with tons and tons of news.
From Avatars to motion controller, from the "Minority Report" 3D new GUI to the new chipsets, there is a lot of rumors going around.
As games go, Microsoft already said that they still have games to announce for this year, so.....Dead Island might be one of them.

I personally don't think Sony has anything to prove, really. They've started to hit their stride this year and they've come a looong way from "Giant enemy crab".

^Yeah, I'm going with Microsoft as well. They seem to have a lot of pre-E3 buzz with the stuff you mentioned. I just hope they can take those ideas and do something unique so they're not copying the wii too closely.

Nintendo will keep up their casual gaming shtick and talk about their hardcore games like De Blob and Animal Crossing. :whatever:

It will be like last year. MS and Sony will be winners in eyes of hardcore gamers while casuals and the rest will praise Wii's next Wii "something" game.

But THE game of E3 will be Fallout 3. Even a dumbed down and simplified Fallout is bigger than any other game at E3.

I think they all have the opportunity to knock it out of the park. The real winners will be those with multiple systems.

I dont think MS was a "winner" last year. I remember lots of criticism that their presentation was underwhelming and they focused too much on games that were already out and Halo 3/GTA4 and not so much on their future plans

Three games I can't wait to see more on would be Fallout 3, God of War 3, and RE5. Oddly enough, the lists posted in this thread don't list GOW3, but gametrailers has it as confirmed as being there. Hopefully they throw Sony fans a bone, some of the innovations planned(actual flight, more time control) would be nice. But I'd settle for anything, really. And with Fallout 3 I just want to see some straight up gameplay, and for them to show various ways to play, like melee, guns, stealth, stuff like that.

That's obviously going to be the Dragon Age logo with some kind of subtitle. I wonder what the subtitle could mean.

Apparently it's going to be about dragons. Very surprising.

"[Dragon Age] speaks to a very, very, very important audience," he said. "This is a core RPG created for fans that love [BioWare], and it's about dragons. This is not risky. This is an audience that we know, that we can deliver for and generate very substantial profits by doing so."

Dragon Age has been touted as the next Baldur's Gate. Can't wait,

Well, at least their conference didn't focus on an overpriced scale to exercise.

Wii Fit was pretty damn overhyped. I can't believe I even bought it. It's just collecting dust.

Between my wife, my daughter, and I, our WiiFit is used on a daily basis...so at least our money isn't going to waste with it.

Great way of doing some end of the day excersices right before bed.

Those exercises can be done for free and without need to stand / sit in front of TV looking at a horrible excuse of a game.
