I´ve never seen so many great games coming in Q1 it makes it look like Q4, so, we can only guess what´s in store for christmas, which, as anyone knows is for gaming what summer is for movies.
I´m not even going about January, because it´s almost over and the last game worth mentioning is AFRO SAMURAI (Jan 27), but the next few months....

Only two games, maybe three on the PS3 hold interest for me, Batman: Arkham Asylum, FF XIII, and
Dragon Agerigins. There's not enuff good RPG's coming out, so for me, not so great a year.

It seems like every year has been the best year from 2007 onward has been great. What will 2010 look like? Who the heck knows, but I'm going to be a lot busier with my gaming this spring than I was last year. Already, I'm looking forward to picking up the following from now through March:

And I've still got quite a few 2008 titles that I'm dying to catch up on! My gaming slate is saturated with great games, and that is hardly something to whine about.

Most of 2009's titles are going to have to wait for a serious price drop, so now I'm left with the inglorious task of figuring out which, just like in 2008. If that means I don't get some of them till 2010, well, that's just how it goes. I am on a strict budget, sadly. But hey, that's college life.

This upcoming year looks great, but it's going to have a hard time topping last. MGS4, Resistance 2, and LBP (tho don't own LBP quite yet), excluding LBP since I haven't played it, the other two are among the best games I've ever played. Plus several other great games came out too.

2009 does look to kick ass tho, so no need to compare lol, as long as awesome games are coming out I don't care.

inFAMOUS, Uncharted 2, SF4, Resident Evil 5, DC Online, all of those games I'm very much looking forward to. FFXIII, I was, but I have a feeling it will underwhelm for the amount of hype + constant delays.

So yeah, last year impressed me, and this year looks to continue it. Great time to be a gamer (not mentioning the bad economy not leaving any $$ in their pockets to buy games lol).

I've kind of lost interest in FFXIII. If it had come out in 2008, I would have been all over it, but since it's been pushed back to 2010, it's hard for me to maintain my level of enthusiasm. If Square wanted the game to have the impact they claimed it would, they should have started developing it before FFXII was even done, and released it world wide for Christmas 2007, or at least Q1 2008.

Also, another thing that's cut into my hype for it is that Square has not yet made a truly "good" game this generation that wasn't on a handheld. The highest metascore that any of their current-gen console games has gotten is 68%, and that is downright PATHETIC for a publisher of Square's stature. I can only hope this is because all of Sqaure's A-talent is working on the Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts properties, but still, they are off to a very bad start. I honestly don't have very high expectations for Star Ocean IV.
