here's a stupid idea, do like Modern Warfare 2, put a disclaimer stating the nature of the gameplay, give you a choice whether you want to play the game with that feature intact or without.
i'm sure that'll end up happening.
It's just a damn game, you dont see people jumping up and down when a movie depicts the same stuff.
But the intent of war movies is far different than the intent of war video games. One is meant to show the brutality of war, and/or retell an important part of history; to shed light on the loss of innocence, the courage of brave men, etc. The other is meant so a bunch of guys can sit in a room together and brag about how cool that head shot was.
And your statement is untrue anyway; there was TONS of complaints over Saving Private Ryan, for example.
