It's nice to see Canada getting some representation. It would have been nice to see an Eastern city.
Toronto?

For someone who lives in Canada you get an awful lot of things wrong.

Illegal but not enforced. So you can get away with it.

And besides, the Conservatives aren't going to be in charge forever. The Liberals, the NDP used to be for it but Jack Layton changed for whatever reason, and the Green Party are for it so if one of those guys could take control it probably would be legalised.

Yes, 'cause French Canadians sre so much worse than a country filled to the brim with poisonous animals and plants

Also, you're Californian. You wouldn't survive a week in Canada in November :lmao:

Snow is unnatural and weird. I prefer my winters to just be windy, rainy, and gray.

Question: What's the coldest temperature you've ever encountered?

At home? About 29 Fahrenheit. I work nights at the truck docking area of a warehouse.

Outside of the area, I've spent a snowy weekend at Lake Tahoe once. That's how I developed my disdain of snow.

That's nothing. Call me when the average winter temperature is 5 fahrenheit.

And it gets as low as -32 F

You say that like it's something to brag about. If it got that cold here, I'd move.

You get used to it.

Hell I walked to Tim Hortons today and it was 14 F. And February, that's not too bad

Not pesky Frenchmen. Pesky French Canadians. Even the actual French don't like them.

Generalizations are generally a bad idea. You do realize that Quebecers are not the only type of French Canadians. Look up Acadians, they are a fun and vibrant culture. I can't imagine anyone disliking them considering they would be more likely to invite you to a kitchen party than fight with you. Not to mention there are small pockets of French communities in NS, PE, NL ON, MB, and even AB. As well, not all Quebecers speak French as their first language.

The only thing I have ever heard about the French not liking Quebec is the differences in dialect, although even that is not a significant complaint. Admittedly Acadian French is far worse and more difficult to understand for Francophones but it's still a small complaint.

The French actually have good relations with Quebec and Canada (especially Quebec) so I find it odd you would make this comment. Many residents from France travel and study in Quebec.

Personally I have nothing against Quebec. They are a very proud group of people and are rich in culture and traditions. They do not hate Americans/English speaking people they just appreciate the effort in them speaking French. So if you do decide to visit I would suggest taking at least a few beginner classes before going there.

To top it off you only need to be 18 to drink and go to strip clubs so what is there to be against? :awesome:

I have nothing against Québécois. I actually feel sorry for them because of their wacky contest laws.

Heh, I find it funny you consider Toronto an Eastern city. Yeah, yeah it's not far from the Eastern Coast but for most Maritimers Ontario is considered a central province. I suppose I could have said an Atlantic or Maritime city but meh.

To some degree decriminalization may occur in the future but I can never see legalization ever happening, mainly because of the influence from the US.

It's not like it's that cold all year long, plus it gradually starts getting colder starting in September. You also don't get the shock of 60 degrees (Celsius) differential in one day.

Pittsburgh was the top US City! Suck it Haters!!

Using a 3.785 litres to gallon conversion (which I think is correct) it's actually 4.56 US$ per gallon in my area :ikyn
