Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, and other Pauly Shore movies.

TBS just finished airing Son in Law. I hadn't seen the movie in a few years. I hate to admit it, but when I was a kid I enjoyed these Pauly Shore movies. I don't know why to be honest. I guess kids are easily amused. Anyway...what are your thoughts on these Shore movies?

I grew up on paulie's movies. I'm 23 now & still find him hilarious. his comedy is timeless & classic co's no one else does it, not now or even then. I felt his career deserved to go further than it did & think it's atrocious the kind of treatment the guy gets from ppl these days as if he was a joke. Encino man was obviously the best with Son In Law feeling almost like a sequel to Encino man with him in college & the cameo by Brendan Fraser as Linc. In The Army Now was also great but once he cut his hair, he seemed to have lost some appeal as it was his trademark & the rest as they say is history. The only paulie movie I hate with a passion was Bio Dome, what a weak excuse for a movie. Love ya anyway paulie!.

Son-in-Law is the best, Encino Man is a close second, and the rest well, the rest weren't very good, but I did like In the Army Now. That was actually pretty funny!

Encino Man is an all time classic. I still remember watching that in the theater and many times since. Love that movie.

Pauly Shore is a funny guy, but never seems to get a decent role these days.
You would think the Seth Rogan and Co gang would get Pauly in one of their movies, but no, he seems to be an outcast!

I only enjoyed Encino Man. I remember seeing that in the theatre back in middle school.

The others as well as Jury Duty were alright but for some reason I always preferred Encino Man over them. I guess I like Shore more when he isn't the main star but a co star.

I remember watching Son In Law with my older cousins on the day it was released. First time I ever saw girl/girl action. Fun times.

Anyway, I was a big fan of Pauly's movies as a kid. Bio-Dome & Jury Duty were some of my faves. I didn't see Encino Man until a year or 2 ago. That's a good one too.

4. In the Army Now

All were funny though.

Comedians don't like Paulie. His mom is the owner of the Comedy Store, so they feel like he had it easy.

That movie was surprisingly awesome. Especially if you "get" the references. My favorite part is where Geraldo, from Rico Suave fame, is selling fruits in the middle of the road. lol.

Totally agree. The amount of cameos and "in" jokes is just insane and the Sam Kinison impersonator was a bit errie to me.
