Gotta majorly disagree with a few on that list. Batman Returns was awful. Honestly a black goo spitting Penguin? Hopefully they'll do him the right way in Nolan's next Batman film.

Also Superman II while a fun movie, was not as good as the original Superman. Superman II in a lot of ways, is one of the corniest movies ever made.

Yes, the penguin army was terrible. I think what Burton tried to do with the freakish Penguin was interesting but too much of a 'director's vision'. On the other hand, Catwoman was the best version I've ever seen.

I'm always amazed that people complain about the penguins when you can just pick up any random Batman comic book and find plenty of ridiculous stuff.

Batman is dark and psychological but he's also a guy dressed in a bat suit fighting crime. You can't take it too seriously. The scene with the penguins was done in good fun.
