Sequels Epic battles

I decided to watch Matrix Revolutions again tonight and WOW , that movie has some epic battles.

So with some talk of Hugo Weaving being a good candidate for Brainiac, a light bulb just went off in my head that maybe since he has experience fighting epic flying battles, it'd kick all kinds of ass if he was given the role and the wackowskis or whoever was directing him in a battle to end all movie battles, making spider-man's look like kid stuff.

well so what do you think. Do you want to see some epic superhero battle in the next one, wrath of zod or whatever it may be?

Oh and what superman comics or other superman media (I'm thinking of stas and justice league) are some great examples of superman in an epic battle that you'd like to see on a movie screen some day?

Of course we'll have a smaller budget now to do it with but oh well...

Well 200 million isn't a small budget if used well
Yes Matrix Revolutions ( there's actually love for this flick ??!!? ; thank you for that ) has some epci flying battles but all the aerial kung fu scenes were done by the stunt doubles. They had designed this rig and for only 1 shot hugo was the aerial rig. All other shots of them are on the ground .
Cause the rigs are really really painful.

I'd be interested to see just how far R.A. Rondell can improve on the rig he designed for SR. It was based on the rig they designed for the superbrawl , but made much smoother. It would be a great thing if he could design a rig ( or rigs) where two people can have near free movement for aerial fighting. ANd shooting them against an blue/green screen on all sides. You only need to animate backgrounds and that's far easier then digital doubles.

Anyways they should get Hugo Weaving for a Supes movie. That guy can frikkin act and he understands his body enough to know how to use it.

And as for epic battles :
1 Any fight in DBZ really . But yeah , the reference of aerial fights in DBZ is a great way for introducing destruction. JUst watch the Bojack movie.

2 The anime X , also has a good aerial battle at the end.

3 A space or aircraft battle would be insane really. Imagine a fight as the siege in matrix revolutions , but instead of sentinels you'd have aircrafts. And superman taking on those aircrafts.
