New episodes of Batman: The Brave and the Bold will resume on Cartoon Network on Friday, May 1 with "Night of the Huntress!"

The episode features the Huntress and Blue Beetle. Villains are Babyface and his wife, Mrs. Manface.

Tara Strong provides the voice of the Huntress, Armin Shimerman is The Calculator and Ellen Greene is Mrs. Manface.

Black Canary, voiced by Grey Delisle, is featured in the episode's teaser.

"Night of the Huntress!" was written by Adam Beechen and directed by Ben Jones.

"Blue Beetle develops a crush on the slightly older and far-more-dangerous femme fatale Huntress, but there is little time for love with Baby Face busting his gang out of prison for a major heist! Watch the crowd closely during the jailbreak sequence to see some of your favorite villains including Pharaoh, Skeleton Keyes, Polecat Perkins and more!"

The teaser features Black Canary and Solomon Grundy.

Voices for the episode include Deidrich Bader as Batman/Solomon Grundy, Will Friedle as Blue Beetle, Grey DeLisle as Black Canary, Ellen Greene as Mrs. Manface, Armin Shimerman as Calculator/cop, Gregg Berger and scientist/mob boss, Tara Strong as Helena/Huntress and Tom Kenny as Babyface.

The episode was written by Adam Beechen and directed by Ben Jones.

Given the show's predilection towards to Silver Age, I'm interested in its portrayal of Huntress. I'm pretty certain she's not Batman and Catwoman's daughter :-)hehe:), but this should be a nice amalgamation.

It's good to see Tara Strong back on DC Animation work. Also, Black Canary's debut and more Jaime

Return of Babyface ...and Ms. Manface. Oh, I've got to see this. :funny:

Really looking forward to this one. I'm so glad that the women are finally ocming onto the show, and Black Canary is confirmed to reappear in the musical episode. Also, if Mrs Manface is even half as funny as Babyface, she'll crack me up!

:funny: Can't wait for more Babyface and his "wife".

Huntress = :up:

Nice! Huntress' design is great, very fitting with the show. Manface is hot! :funny:

wow way to go beetle.... screwing up everything with his hormones and what not....

also I like skeleton key.

So I take it the Adam West villains were mere dopplegangers of the originals? I don't mind it.

Love the nerdified Calculator.

Huh?

Anyway, really, really, really looking forward to this one. Babyface's Dick Tracy style gang are suitably hilarious, and Huntress looks great, I love that they are using her original Helena Wayne costume. Black Canary looks awesome too. Given that James Tucker said they were using the original, I'm guessing they decided to add the Sonic Scream anyway. Calculator looks hilarious too, and it seems Huntress appears in the teaser too what with her grabbing him.

Also awesomesauce is the collection of villains that are escaping in the prison. I spy Scarecrow, Fun Haus, Black Manta, Felix Faust, Clock King, Sportsmaster, Top, King Tut (among a lot of other Adam West villains) and of course the ever pathetic Kite Man!

The preview is golden. Jaime is really turning out to be a far better character than I imagine he'd be.

The Babyface/Mrs. Manface dynamic is outta control. :woot:

These two weeks need to hurry up and fly by.

I was referring to the fact that the Adam West villains are, technically, not the Adam West villains, but look-alikes. James Tucker mentioned that the rights conflict with FOX are still in place, and created look-alikes to nod the show. That's why the preview mentioned King Tut as "Pharaoh".

Ah yes, but I believe Tucker was "winking at the audience" when he said that, given the audience laugh reaction and him jokingly referring to them as "I don't know what you're talking about!"

They're definitely the Adam West villains, they just can't mention that.

the babyface/manface romance reminds me of me and my wife.

Looks like Solomon Grundy in that first pic. Anyone else think so?

I am so glad we're getting a new episode soon! I love this show!

Yep, that's Grundy. He's the villain in the episode's teaser, and it seems they are using the intelligent version from the modern comics.

Other villains spotted from the breakout are Top, Cavalier, Crazy Quilt, and Shark (though I don't remember him appearing in this show before), as well as Baby-Face's gang of Skeleton Keyes, Bobcat Perkins, Hammertoes, Tweedledum and Tweedledee (they're from the comics), and Lazy-Eye.

I just love Babyface's voice, and i love to hear Tara Strong as Huntress.

Manface is distrubing.

But you could tell Beatle would really want to smash that ass. :funny:

Yay, Batman back to his pimp skills.

Yes! Old school Calculator look combined with the modern versions intel motive! Sweet!

The clip is awesomely hilarious, and it even gives a great nod to the comics (Calculator and Weather Wizard got along with each other).
