"Red Tornado attempts to create a being that will possess the one thing he lacks: human emotion. His experiment goes awry after an attack from Major Disaster and his Tornado Champion quickly turns to the dark side as Tornado Tyrant, whose only goal is to destroy all humans!"

The episode was written by J.M. DeMatteis and directed by Brandon Vietti.

The voice cast includes Diedrich Bader as Batman, James Arnold Taylor at Green Arrow and Major Disaster, Corey Burton as Red Tornado and Carl Lumbly as Tornado Champion and Tornado Tyrant.

Reddy was pretty fun during the Christmas-themed ep, but I'm really stoked for Major Disaster.

I heard he was gonna make a son for himself, i guess the wikipedia was misinformed (or its a later episode) but this sounds like fun!

I read something similar someplace else. I suppose that description is vague enough to apply, but the early ones have a way of changing, even when they come from Cartoon Network (which really doesn't make any sense).

I love this show and the guest stars with the DC heroes. I wish that a Batman animated show just with the Bat family would happen!

Honestly i love this show! Jeff Bennet has an surprisingly awesome Joker laugh. (Remember he was the creeper in B:TAS show).

I have to admit Red Tornado is quite interesting character. I really feel for this robot who really wishes to have Artificial emotions, honestly what a great character. But whats the point of the 3rd preview when it shows the end almost, so i wouldn't recommend watching it:

I dunno whenever to give this 7 or 8 as the 3rd preview kinda ruined the climatic for me. But the subject of the episode was pretty much Robot with an AI but it also had morality, as Tornado Champion saw revenge as a better solution. I also do wonder does Batman know about Brainiac in this universe as he was very suspicious about Tornado Champion. Eitherway it wasn't a horrible episode, and the development on Red Tornado is cool, cuz yeah its a robot who wants emotions for pete's sake, always an interesting subject.

I felt so bad for Red Tornado, all he wanted was a lil babay. The preview was hilarious with GA and Bats still going at it as usual with the comp. The main episode had some touching moments. It's still not the more humane RT from the comics but it seems like they're about to start going there. Hopefully he'll meet Kathy Sutton at some point in the series' history and find true happiness.

For some reason, Batman seemed more like a side character here than in any other episode that comes to mind. It works within the context, but struck me odd. Decent ep though.

The ending was a bit more somber than I expected. I thought Reddy would be more receptive to Bats' words about finding his own humanity. Instead, he was more resolute in viewing himself entirely as a machine, despite the 'oily discharge'. Bummer. Yep, little bit of a bummer.

The teaser was fun. I want more Joker and GA. Seeing the old school Catwoman costume is a blast too.

Personally I really liked the episode. It took me by surprise at how dark it really was. As for red tornado, he acted the most human in trying to deny that the emotions were all real. Brave and Bold may have batman attached but Green Arrow and Red Tornado are really the side characters. So its no surprise red tornado was the focus. I love how the show shows so many characters. Personally I would love to see and era by era show. That way we could see the evolution of these characters.

Well, unlike everyone here, I found this episode really bad and lame. I found it so fake. from A to Z it was fake and I was amazed by the amount of ********, predictable or not. The only part I enjoyed was the Joker cameo. I thought the lines of Champion/Tyrant were well written, but Red tornado ? WTF ? Fake, completely fake from the beginning until the end. I did not buy it at all. And Major Disaster ? Lame. I don't get it.
From the beginning I guessed the story and the plot and in the end I was so amazed at the crappy way to deliver it. I found this episode pretty pretty lame.
