The Dark Knight Eric Roberts. He did great, didn't he.

Agreed. He seemed very confident, inspite of what was happening. His role just wasnt very big, but he did great with what he had.

I'm not sure why anyone thought Eric Roberts as a slimy mobster was going to be a stretch (that's 2/3 of his filmography), but I thought he did fine, and wish he could have had a little bit more screentime.

I enjoy Eric Roberts in TDK the same as I enjoy another B movie legend getting a rare return to the spotlight, Rutger Hauer in BB. They're not "great" actors, but they're fun to watch, with the little tongue-in-cheek campy touches they throw in (we all know Hauer's a scenery-chewer, and does anyone notice when Rossi is about to shoot Dent in court, in the background, Roberts like pumps his fist in the air with this "YEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!" expression. lol. Having fun Eric?)

He was actually really funny on that Gotham Tonight episode (kinda funny how much more Anthony Michael Hall had to do in the virals than in the actual movie), and the nightclub/"where is he!" scene is one of my favorites in the movie. That was kind of Roberts' "big" moment in TDK, and he did good.

lol yeah "thanks mike, big fan" "you know what mike pretty boy dent and baldy over here" "i tell you mike im not a mob boss, what i am....is late i have an important date right now" man hes hilarious he should come back, hes shouldnt be dead he should be in a hospital and a few minutes into the movie hes already fine.

I always had faith in Eric Roberts, because I had no idea who he was...but I saw a little movie called "Raptor" a few weeks ago, and had I saw that first, I definetely would have been worried.

Hey all.

If you were around the internet like I was leading up to TDK as it began production, you remember that when Eric Roberts was announced as having a role, many people complained and were upset.

Why? He is a good enough actor to handle these kind of roles if you ask me.

I enjoyed him. I think he did a good job, although I think the chechan stole the show as far as the mobsters go.

I love the scene where Batman drops Maroni off the balcony, and Maroni tells Batman the score on how everyone is wise to his act now, they know he has rules, but Joker has none, that's why nobody will cross him.

I thought he was awesome, did a great job. He seemed really believable, and I loved the way he reacted to the Chechen in the restuarant. Like "WTF you talking about! Hire the clown!?!?!"

And when he was telling Batman how it is. "The Joker? He's got no rules. No ones going to cross him fer you!"

But the Chechen was my favourite mobster.

He was aight. Wilkinson was better and Falcone had a stronger presence in BB. I wasn't impressed or dismayed by Roberts performance.

Actually, my only gripe is that we couldn't squeeze him into BB, I think just seeing him around would've been cool. For a figure to rise up and claim Falcone's position he had to be kind of prominent before, so seeing him in BB would've tied that transition together nicely. Matter of fact seeing him, Gambol or the Chechen in the next film struggling to stay afloat would've been nice too, but in any case, I enjoyed his role quite a bit

Not just Roberts, I thought all the actors, no matter how small the role, were excellent in this movie. Kudos to those responsible for the casting in this, and Begins.

I've always liked Eric Roberts since watching him in Best of the Best and Heroes. I thought he did an excellent job in The Dark Knight. He gave Salvatore Maroni charisma. Even if he was supposed to be a bad guy, I couldn't hate him. I felt bad when Two-Face killed him.
