Hi all! This is a thread dedicated to the Goth/Rock group Evanescence.

They are my favorites! And they're coming to Montreal tomorrow and i can't wait to see them live! What do you think of them? What are your favorite songs? Whats your opinion on their last album; The Open Door?

This band wears me out with their Goth/Emo attitude! I'm getting shortness of breath just thinking about those dreary lyrics.


...but I did see them at a small venue concert in OKC about 3 years ago. They were pretty good live. All of the opening acts SUCKED! The ticket was $20.

I personally love the second album! Most of the songs are very well done, IMO.

Evanescence are amazing. I discovered them in early 2005 and have loved them with a passion ever since.
I saw them Live in November. They only performed for an hour, but it was one of the best hours ever spent. Fabulous!
My favourite songs are:
Lithium
Missing
Everybodys Fool
Whisper
My Last Breath

but I cannot think of one song I don't like. The Open Door is a great album. I don't like it as much as Fallen, but I really think it was a progressive and adventurous move to make for the Band.

Lithium, OMG Lithium! I also particularly love Weight of the World, Good Enough, The Only One and Snow White Queen on their last album!

second album is a huge dissapointment. they need to get a ben moody back!

I like there new album some great tracks on there, a couple I think are ok not as good as the others.

Lose control is a cool song.

I first heard evanescence back in february 2003, when they were doing the DD soundtrack song, and I thought that Lacuna Coil had gone Linkin Park sellout

then they came over by where I live, it was a decent gig, they hadn't broke out yet

then the album came out and my ex-wife bought it, I burned myself a copy and thought it wasn't that good a band afterall

and I recently saw somebody at work with the cd, so I made gave it a listen

they still suck

yeah, I wish that they'd go back to their roots, you know? over produced linkin park wannabe/quasi-goth/Brittney spears RAWK!
if we learned anything from the first album's single and video for "Everybody's Fool" Is that Amy Lee would look pretty decent if she stopped dressing like she's auditioning to play Marilyn Manson's ******ed sister in the Broadway production of his life.

we only have John Davis to thank for this crap.

Now Lacuna Coil is who Evanescence want to be lol.
Lacuna Coil are million times better as well.

But I still like Ecanescence but LC are so more better then them.
