Evanescence

make sure and keep it that way, you can thank me later.

I have forgiven this thread's existence solely because it gave birth to Mr. Sparkle's Brian Molko comment, which was borderline genius.

This thread should be aborted and gutted for stem cells.

Geez, I was just throwing out crap, but Toasterbath rolls off nice, like a real name.
Maybe I really will be Chad Toasterbath.

HA! seriously.

The real cure for emoism...

Anyways, whos a fan ofthe newest single Lithium?

Probably my favorite track on the cd.

Next video i want made for is sweet sacrifice/ lacrymosa

I get tired of all of the Ev-bashing that goes on around here. You can't deny that they're talented. No one belts like Amy, and the instrumentalists are equally amazing. Bashing cheesy, out of tune music, or music that isn't really music (coughrapcough), I can understand, but you can't deny the effort and talent of these people. I mean, come on, they used Mozart as an inspiration.

And before anyone dares label me emo, know this: I'm a huge fan of, and am persuing a career in, musical theatre. That's right. Show tunes. Take that razor you'd offer me and shove it up your ass.

I am tired and mean no offense to anyone who would not say what I suggested above.

I'm not quite sure if that's a defense, an attempt at insult, or just a sarcastically concuring statement. Please clarify.

Hip hop is music. Don't let your local pop radio station tell you any differently. :o

And as far as this thread goes, Evanescence is 'aight. Fallen is on my iPod for those times when I want to fall in a field of paper flowers and candy clouds of lullaby. :hyper:

I suppose that some hip hop is music. The kind that isn't just computer-generated sounds and voices with people talking rhythmically. But I can't think of a single hip hop song I've heard that isn't crap to my ears.

Google any mp3s by The Roots, Common, Lupe Fiasco, Dead Prez, MF Doom....

Really I could go on. Again, the dookie they choose to play on the radio appeases mainly to the folks who just want a song to dance to in their local club. And this is painful to many legit fans of hip hop when they see someone bash the genre simply based on what they hear on the surface of their FM dials.

I remember liking Where Is the Love by the Black Eyed Peas, but that was before it become all about their horrible dancing while praising Fergie's curves.

Oh, good god I hate the Black Eyed Peas. And when I say hate, I mean I literally wish harm upon them.

I feel the same way about many 'artists'. Among them, 50 Cent, the Pussycat Dolls, and any rapper who writes a 'song' that includes anything about women shaking their asses.

Can't argue with that.

To be honest, I don't remember the last time I listened to the radio. Honestly. Most of the music I hear about or pick up I discover on my own or by word of mouth. I can only deal with so much radio screamo, cookie cutter campus punk bands, or songs dedicated to oral jewelry.

I try not to listen to mainstream music... although it was difficult for awhile when I was living with 7 conforming teenage girls who tended to hog the tv.

I say we go to Best Buy and burn some CDs (and by burn I mean ignite with a lighter).

**** the system! :cmad:

Hehe.

I'm all for anarchy... after I get some sleep. Good night.

*collapes onto keyboard*

I'm sure that I've made plenty of rants about them but I'm going to do another one anyways...

Evanescence is crap, just like all of the other "new music" today. It's all about the fame and money and nothing to do with making music. Besides, anyone that caters to fans that are usually emos/goths or just plain annoying teenagers is on my crap list.

I like that one song where she's hanging in the trees with shreds of cloth on. Dunno the title, yeah.
