I still don't like after what she posted innthe Covid days, so I'm not eXcited to see her. So I hope this is her last appearance in the MCU. Also 4 movie appearances for Hope who isn't even the original Wasp is not bad.

I am really liking her haircut and her much more saturated yellow suit.
She finally looks like comics Wasp (specifically Janet's appearance since the 2000s)

She is joining the ranks of Halle Storm Berry and Scarlett Romanoff in terms of ever changing hairstyle!

Evangeline Lilly's new Wasp haircut looks like 2004 era Molly Holly from WWE.

She didn't need to be in the title. She was just there.
Well for the title there were a pair of Ant-Men and a pair of Wasp. If your goal was to see second billed Hope then you just suffered from bait and switch.

Hank hasn't been ant-Man though for decades.

Janet hasn't been Wasp after returning from Quantumania Realm.

On the other hand there have not been decades just three Ant-man movies, one Captain America movie and one Avengers movie all within 8 years.

Thats not the point though.

Now why are Captain America and Avengers in this? Also when people watch these Mcu movies, Wasp is generally associated with Hope/Evangeline not Michelle since she was never in the Wasp outfit. The flashback in the first Ant-Man movie was even played by a different actress and iirc she wasn't even called Wasp.

An Ant-Man appeared in Captain America and an Avengers movie. As for being called "The Wasp" off the top of my head I can't think of anywhere Hope was called the Wasp except in the title of two movies. And Janet, not the specific actress but the suit and character was shown in action to disable the missile when she sacrificed herself by going quantum where it was clear that a Hank Pym/ Michael Douglass was "the Ant-Man" at that time.. Characters with more screen time in their initial appearance had been recast before

If you are to ask the gp who is Wasp in Quantumania, I doubt some of them would even mention Janet. So imo, there's only one Wasp in this movie. Same with Ant-Man.

Obviously "The Wasp" is referring to Hope. But they just kept her in the title because they didn't want to look like they were backsliding on giving her equal billing with Ant-man.

I don't think its equal billing as Paul Rudd is still listed in the credits first.

But without knowing the title, this is definitely an Ant-Man movie.

I'm not saying she actually has equal billing, I'm just saying Marvel wanted to maintain the appearance of equal billing with the title.

But it isn't an equal billing as Ant-Man is mentioned first and Wasp comes after "and the".

Thats like saying Captain America and Bucky shared equal billing in the title "Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They are mentioned together in the title, not equally billed. There's a difference.

Come on, now you're being pedantic. It's physically impossible to put both names first in a title. You telling me Tom and Jerry don't have equal billing? Or Bill and Ted? Or Lilo and Stitch? Or Cow and Chicken? Or Beavis and Butthead? Or Kenan and Kel? It's as close to equal billing in a title as is physically possible, in contrast to her name being removed from the title completely.

Also, Captain America: The Winter Solder is different, as that's a subtitle, like "Quantumania".

Who ever is mentioned gets billed first and the more important character. And in this case, its Ant-Man.

Remember Wolverine and the X-Men? Who is billed first? Obviously the Wolverine.

Also not to mention, these films have always been Scott Lang front and center. So equal billing is meaningless, Hope is a glorified supporting role, never the lead.

Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly have absolutely no chemistry as a couple. I don't even understand why they are together. Not to mention, Hope treated Scott like garbage in the second film when he was doing everything he could to help.

Even when they got together in the first film is sort of like, really?

Hope is not a good character. And she isn't The Wasp. Janet has always been the character I associate as The Wasp.
