1. Bush and his advisors saw the intelligence reports that al-Qaeda was going to use planes in terrorist attacks but ignored the threat as nothing.

2. Because of this criminal negligence, 9-11 happened.

3. The Bush Administration doesn't want this to be known and officially recognized because it will destroy Bush's image for him being "tough" on terrorism when in truth, he is rather weak and his USA PATRIOT Act, War on Terrorism, etc. really does nothing to prevent it.

4. Bush and several aides would probably be brought up on charges of criminal negligence.

This is sorta how I see it too. But it does leave some holes, like the fact that numerous terrorists have taken responsibility for it. Granted, they might have been coerced, paid off or otherwised convinced to lie, but I have a hard time believing that they would willingly cooperate with the very people they are about to attack.

Then there's that whole BBC timestamp thing, the mysterious Pentagon debris and Rumsfeld's (correct me if it wasn't him, I can't remember right now) slip of the tongue about flight 93, all of which are really disconcerting.

Don't get me wrong, I definitely believe that this administration is evil enough to do something like this, but I don't think anyone can say with any degree of certainty that they did.

i just love how they released that info around the time they also decided to announce they were sending even MORE troops to Iraq.
