anyone read the series so far i am on book 6 cant wait for next one to be released and i love it the writing and artwork are great vaughan is got to be my fav. writer today he is great the intrigue of politics and super heroes mixing together is really unique and fresh

what about you guys?

I'm up to the 6th trade, as well. I absolutely love Tony Harris' artwork. He does a good job at telling a story, and his covers are just magnificent.

As always, I'm a hopeless Brian K. Vaughan fanboy. He does a great job of mixing real-life history with his own alternate timeline, realistic politics, a few exaggerations for the sake of an interesting story, and (of course) science fiction. Mitchell Hundred is one of the most realistic approaches ever taken in showing what would happen if a superpowered individual attempted to become a superhero. He screwed up on things that always looked simple in comics (like stopping a train abruptly to save a man stuck on the tracks), and had to learn that politics stand of chance of making a difference better than vigilantism. Or do they? Only Kremlin knows for sure.

I haven't read past the fifth trade, but enjoy the series. The art is fantastic and the chase scene over a guy selling a dimebag was priceless to me.

When I first read that scene, I was like "Whhaaaattt?" That has to be the most ridiculous crime I've ever seen a superhero fight. Even Superman doesn't fight the war on weed, and he can hear the kids buying dimebags and old dudes popping in their Cheech & Chong DVDs from miles away.
