So before I start there is a bit of a disclaimer I must say, I missed the first forty minutes but once I got off work I went into watch the screening we had for the Imax Transformers at the theater I work.

It looks awesome and any die hard fan of the movie won't be dissapointed, but anyone on the fence or going because of the deleted scenes shouldn't bother.

It's basically more Tutturo in the car, in Sector Seven, a bit more with Frenzy's head at the damn, (I think) and Lennox talking with a pawn shop lady.

That is it. No more action or anything, but like I said, I came in right after the Scorponok fight.

hmmm interesting.

Kinda bummed there isn't an Imax theater in my country :(

oh, no more fight scene between Bumblebee and Barricade? I can't believe they don't have more to show.

Not anything specific that I noticed, but because of the clearer picture and bigger screen you do notice more. Almost to the point of tricking you into thinking you saw something new, even if you probably didn't.

but the above were the only obviously new things I saw.

kinda figured ther wouldnt be anything good

I'll let you guys know if i get my tickets in time for friday's showing. Thanks to the movie blog! :D

just what the movie needs is more turturro! :whatever: god i hated him in this movie.

You and me both. I can't wait for the dvd so I can edit him the hell out :cmad:

Him, 1/2 of the lurking Autobots scene and all of the stupid hackers...useless, useless, useless.

IMAX and the DVD
09/18/2007 07:39 AM
I saw the IMAX print and it is awesome! It is the future of cinema to see movies in this format. I'm going to see Tranformers one last time and get ready to gear up for Transformers 2. I added two minutes of stuff for IMAX that will never make into any DVD's. There will never be an extended edition.

About the DVD. I like the two disc set. I has all the extras that the others don't have. It is the definitive edition of Transformers. It really breaks down how we made the movie.

Anyway hope you like the IMAX print!

That suck's if we are not getting anymore bot action :cmad: , that is the whole point of the movie, giant robots. We don't need anymore Tuturro, or hacker backstory or any other human crap, just more of the bots, people who get to see it on Friday (I am going Saturday) please feel free to let us know what the extra footage is and if it is worth going and watching.

oh, no more fight scene between Bumblebee and Barricade? I can't believe they don't have more to show.

two transformers fight costs a lot of money. So i have a feeling if there was an extended scene they would have showed it in theaters also. although you could always hope. the deleted

I didn't notice Anthony Anderson yelling about Frenzy, I was looking for it also because I remembered seeing it in the trailers. But I can't be sure, all of that stuff in the damn was boring.

I thought there was more Bonecrusher, but barely more so I wasn't sure.

I don't remember the stuff after Brawl was taken down. I'm pretty sure it went right to Epps talking about the civilian with precious cargo.

There was a scene where they got the short wave radios from a pawn shop woman which wasn't funny at all and was better when left out.

and it's possible that the extended chase between Barricade and Bumblebee was there because I was out of the theater at that specific point.

yeah talk about some of the biggest time wasting ever put into a big budget movie like this.

useless, useless, useless = depth, depth, depth

Just because you didn't like the scenes, that doesn't mean that they didn't provide entertainment or means of providing depth to the story and/or the characters. You can get that out of those scenes. You can't get that out of the action.

SPOILERS

If something like this has already been posted, my apologies and close this thread.

I just got back from an advanced screening of the Imax Transformers.

We still do not know the fate of Barricade
We do not see any new footage of any battles

First additional Scene is Sam picking up his friend who climbed the tree in the park. He makes fun of sam's car about being yellow.

Second additional scene is at the police station when sam gets arrested and they make him watch a video about what drugs do to your brain. The video is amusing but nothing great

Third additional scene has the agent from Section 7 makes Sam take a test to see if he is lying inside the van by making him look into a device to see his pupils dialate.

Fourth additional scene is where the sector 7 agent tells the group about a room where he likes to meditate in (the part before they see the all spark cube)

Fifth additional scene is where one of the army guys goes into a pawn shop and tries to pawn his watch to get the shortwave radios

There may have been something new in the credits but I didnt think about checking until I left.

So yeah.

Oh and I won a prize pack also

P1010349.jpg

Dufflebag, stickers, soundtrack, 08 bumblebee, 2x bee-otch car air freshners, comics and how to draw transformers book and some cups and a Optimus keychain (I gave it to a kid sitting next to me)

I bought my Imax tickets for this Friday today. Although that is disappointing that there are no new scenes of the actual Transformers, I still can't wait to see it on Imax in all it's glory. I just don't get what is going through Bay's head when he thinks this movie needs more comedy and scenes with Turturro.

I usually like Turturro in his roles but as the Sector 7 guy he was incredibly annoying.

these are all extra bits i don't give two hoots about...

i want more prime vs megatron...

:cmad:

I just want to see a life size Prime and that's why I'm going.

>^..^<

Did they fix the Brawl/Devastator subtitle?

Anyone who actually thought the extra footage was going to be robot vs. robot battles needs to readjust their expectations on life.

The budget was $150 million dollars. Case in point - that why the Bumblebee/Barricade Prime/Megatron fight took place OFF SCREEN.

Yes, but the movie made $600+ Million, so they could have easily have used that money to finish off some unfinished scenes.
