Fable 2 info

Yeah.. actually, many good games, in general, releasing right next to each other can signal the end of your days on the outside.

With the games I need to be playing Christmas Break, I doubt I'll actually get to see any of my long-lost friends.

Yayyy!! I can't wait, I'm stoked for this game. The video diaries so far have been all pretty interesting, and the features I've seen have been pleasantly surprising.

I thought the combat demonstration was great. I like how you can interact with objects in the world (swing from chandeliers, combat moves differ if you're close to a wall) and now that I've played Assassin's Creed, I'm sold on one-button combat.

The demonstration of the dog went over well. It seems like it will be a pretty suitable side-kick and hopefully not as suicidal as Dom Santiago in Gears of War.

I wish they'd show more of the gameworld, as it's supposed to be one big world this time... but evidently they can't for spoiler purposes.

Yeah, that's the part I'm worried about. What with most games bordering on only about 10 hours of actual game content and world, I hope Fable 2 doesn't go the same route. I'm hoping for at least 15 solid hours, but 20 would probably be preferrable. I'm confident that Lionhead's going to deliver a fantastic game this time around.

Sans Molyneux's indominable egomania.

Fable really didn't do such a good job with side-quests. They were shorter than the loading times it took to access them and they weren't terribly rewarding. Hopefully they either make the sidequests kick ass, or they just screw them altogether and really hammer in the main quest Zelda-style.

I'm not sure if this will have online co-op, but if it does, we NEED to use it.

Co-op would be alright... but id love an online world.. where you can meet up with people online in the world.. or visit there house and family.. (or kill there family)

^ tht would be cool, but annoying. you know you would get people who would always kill peoples familys and just do tht and nothing else

It was a video showing off some of the environment of Fable 2. It confirmed that there will be dynamic regions, seasons, the hero can now sprint, there is a fast travel system, there was a glimpse of the interface, NPCs have names, it seems to have a context sensitive HUD, free roaming was confirmed and the ability to hop fences was shown. Thats all I can think of right now but there is probably more.

sounds good to me... just wish the mini-map was still there

The game looks utterly beautiful. And the designer, I think Mark, was right about most next-gen games. They tend to have a very washed out and dull look to them, nothing seems vibrant, etc. (Killzone-syndrome) But that video pretty much confirmed that Fable 2 is going to look just as beautiful as the first.

Zenien can suck on this. :cmad:

[Where's WHF? Usually he'd be all over this as well. Him and I were the only two people that have staunchly defended the original Fable's greatness from the get-go.]
