Family Guy Season Premiere

Started off a little slow but Old Pedo and Chris doing the Dirty Dancing routine just totally made this episode for me.

It's had its funny moments, but is ultimately mediocre.

I never thought the old pedo was funny past his first appearance. tThey should have made Adam West Obi-Wan and the oled pedo Tarkin, since they barely used Tarkin in the episode.

That's what I was thinking but then we wouldn't have had that awesome Dirty Dancing sequence.

I just wish this episode was more original. I mean they literally recycled their old jokes. Like putting them in a Star Wars setting would make the, funnier. The new stuff's pretty good though like the couch gag.

Exactly. I think for some of them they took the exact soundbite and replayed it.

Plus how many times can Star Wars be parodied? Why don't we ever see shows parodying other fanboy heavy material like Lord of The Rings or Star Trek? Hell I'd like to see the Firefly cast for a brief 30 seconds to poke fun at themselves and their cancelled show.

The only part I laughed at was when Peter threw the Pigs Ear down the trash shoot and Brian went running after it.

Other than that, I barely cracked a smile.

'Attacking the Death Star with Magic Johnson' had me in tears.

Not a frequent viewer of Family Guy, but I had a ball with this special. Magic Johnson, Red Fox, the couch gag. Funny stuff.

it was average. Last year's finale was funnier, IMO. But the episode did have its moments. The Old Creepy guy was funny and Peter was too. lol at Meg being the monster in that dumpster thing.

70s Doctor Who opening was probably my favourite. Robot Chicken discussion was good.

I hadn't watched an episode of Family Guy since the first season it came back. I enjoyed it. There were some funny moments but nothing that put me in tears.

It would have been better with West as Obi-Wan, but I think they made good use of the pedo. The part when he had a flaccid lightsaber was funny.

I agree that it would've been better if West was General Tarkin.
