I don't remember that interview, but that would be an awesome angle to explore.

I'd be thrilled to see the parallels between Clark/Lex and Jor-El/Zod. Perhaps a flashback episode? If so, we already know who would play young Jor-El.

After a little research for this subject, i found it.

TV Guide: One thing that struck me was when Jor-El told Clark that Zod destroyed Krypton. That seems a departure from traditional Superman mythology.
Gough: The idea was that on Krypton — and we'd like to explore some of this in Season 6 — Zod was the ultimate terrorist. He and Jor-El were once friends and became enemies. As a result, there was a breakaway. It has more to do with political intrigue rather than that the planet started spinning too close to the sun, which has always sort of been the traditional story.

sounds fantastic....wouldnt that be an amazing PZ story in episode 1....the destruction of krypton where clark plays jor-el, lex plays zod, and lana plays whatever-her-name is.

those are always my favorite kind of stories. o what i wouldnt give to see the space ship zooming away from an exploding krypton just as Clar breaks out of the phantom zone flying back to earth....

it would be the first real Super moment, bc clark would finally have all the knowldege he needs of where he came from and what hes here for.

You seem to be throwing judgement at what they've done to Supes mythos pretty quick. Especially when you seem to be ok with what they've done to the spidey mythos. Doesn't make much sense when you think about it.

Smallville is an alternate reality.
What they've done to Spidey, you have to deal with in actual continuity.

Its difficult enough to believe a Justice League forming this early, but Ollie wanting to form it? Thats a complete departure from his character. He would be the last who would want to be associated with something like this and he had to be coerced to join.

I'm hoping he isnt handled like an Adam Knight-like character and to cause drama with Lana.
