Fantastic Four reborn!

While I had no problem with the Thing's height in both movies, since after all he was always drawn shorter than Reed during the first 20 plus years of the book [and as far as I am concerned the Kirby Thing - like the Kirby Hulk - is THE version we need to see on screen]; I could take a slightly taller Thing, too. I guess the max I would want would be something like Wink was in HB2, but even that may be a little too high.

I am hopeful that the Avengers will finally give us a proper Hulk - judging from the Comic Con poster they are headed in the right direction. If that works out then I would be happy with a digital Thing, as long as they stick to Kirby like they did with the Hulk. Of course, you are going to need the $200 million plus budget that the Avengers has, and thus far Fox has not been willing to come close to this kind of cash for an FF movie. But maybe Marvel will get the FF back soon and Fox and their low balling will not be an issue.

I think Planet of The apes proved the technology is there. That was a completely CGI character that was on screen for most of the movie with more emotion and physical interaction than most human actors and the character was completely believable.

And because that character was based on a Chimpanzee - which is a real animal that we know and therefore can detect even slight imperfections - and because it was done on a relatively modest budget, I'm convinced that, with the right people, A CGI Thing could work.
