Favorite female comedian

They rarely get their due, as most people are of the mindset that girls just aren't funny, which may just be because the humor style is different. I'm sure most dudes will immediately go with sarah silverman, but I just don't care for her that much. As far as some that I actually find somewhat humorous, I have to go with:

Margaret Cho - can be monotonous and loud at times, but actually has some knowledge to back it up

Amy Poehler- only because she's pretty self deprecating at times, which is always good comedy

I've been a pretty big fan of Maria Bamford for a while, and her most recent Comedy Central Presents shows that she's definitely on the way up.

Also, Lisa Lampinelli is easily the best attack comedian on the scene today. My only issue with her is that her act is really weak.

Pound for Pound, Ellen DeGeneres is a damn good stand-up comedian, even if a lot fo her stuff is played out. I was disappointed in her most recent special, because a lot of it was recycled.

I hate people like that. I know MANY women who are hilarious! But, anyway, Lisa Lampinelli is awesome. Roseanne was funny before Tom Arnold turned her into a joke. And, then there's comedic actresses like the late Madeline Kahn who was awesome.
