Favorite Lines In The Movie Thread.

Lol. Yeah.

One thing that I wish is if they kept the continuation of that gag...

In the prison sequence, there's a security guard playing and once again- Johnny crashes. Lol.

Loved that running gag in the film- it's like the game's rigged or something.

Mack: "My friends dog is named Lucky, he's got one eye and no nuts."
Has anyone noticed that this line is a direct reference to Walter Matthau's dog in "Grumpier Old Men"? MSJ wrote both of those movies...

As for other great lines, here's a few I loved:

(GR turns away from Roxanne's touch) "...monster..."

"This place could use a woman's touch." "So could you." (JB & Mack)

"Look into my eyes!!!" (the penance stare)

"I took the cars out." (JB about his latest stunt)

Blackheart: "I'm not going back...... I LIKE IT HERE!"

(Head sinks into hands.....):whatever:

Johnny Blaze: YEeeeaa! (during the interview) lol its so cage.

and definatly "Your pissing me off"

thats actually a good idea Tempest, id have loved to see that, heh...

theres alot more i loved, too much to think about at the moment, heh.

Look, I didn't like Superman Returns at all.
Haha ...

I'm not the biggest SR fan in the world, but you didn't like Superman Returns, but you liked and thought GR was good? You have a seriously piss poor taste in film.

No, idiot.

If you hate a movie, you don't come to the forums ALL DAY and post "this sucked, there's nothing good in it, I hated this movie, he did this stuff wrong" and etc. That's all you do. Complain.

Look, I didn't like Superman Returns at all. I went to the forum once, posted what I thought, and left. I don't go there constantly bashing the movie. I never do, because I didn't like it. What's the point of just bashing it? Does it make you feel better?

See, you have a right to state your opinions, but about all of them are just stabs at the movie. You're just being a troll.

:o:down
For that I solute you, but I agree with Darkest Knight that SR has far more quality to it than GR.

The only quality SR had was what it copied from the Donner films. When you have the main characters trying to do a Christopher Reeves imitation, the movie is gonna suck.

No originality, no vision, just a 2 1/2 hour ass kissing to Richard Donner.

Seriously, the man of steel playing peeping Tom? And you think that was a quality film?

Yeah, SR had alot of problems in my opinion.

1. Talk about a boring movie that was totally unrealistic.

2. He leaves for a few years, he comes back, he still has a job, no one really notices that he's back and *gasp* Superman is too!:wow:

3. Lex Luthor should win an award for being the best villain ever. Oh wait, his plot sucked. He wants to be all...real estate? Brillaint. So, he sinks the world, they all come to him, and what do they pay him with? All the banks and stuff are under water. What's he going to do if he did get this money? What will he spend it on?

4. Hardly any action. Superman, a superhero, NEVER hits anybody. What the freak? He has all these powers. ALL these cool powers and super strength and doesn't hit somebody...that's why it's a poor excuse for a superhero movie in my opinion.

5. I still hate the fact that he doesn't wear a mask or anything but people don't know who he is. He changes his hair a little, takes off his glasses, and he's Superman. Yeah, that's just bad.

6. Final battle? He leaves the island, goes back, gets kicked off, goes back. Why not just fly to the sun before? Oh, then it's so cool! HE CRASHES INTO A ROCK OMG!:wow::(

7. Superman...has a kid...and suprise, the kid ended up having powers and whooping a villain. I predicted that was going to happen when I first saw the child. It reminded me of a good movie called The Incredibles when Jack-Jack whooped on Syndrome with his powers that no one knew he even had. That was actually a suprise to me.

8. I loved the ending. Scooby Scooby Doo! And I'm talking about the whole Lex being on the island thing with his "boo hoo I didn't get what I wanted" speech.

9. Lex's gang...was really um...a corny group. Just that typical Saturday morning cartoon villain gang.

10. Oh noes! Superman is going to die! Let's make a very dramatic sob story for a good portion of the movie with slow motion and a whole scene of people crying! Wait, he lived! OMG THAT WAS SO SUPRISING! I DIDN'T EXPECT THAT! Seriously, the "hero almost dies, everyone cries, but then the hero will rise" (hey that ryhmed:cool:) thing is old and over used. Just no.

Now, what I will give Superman Returns is:

1. A couple funny moments that were a pretty good laugh.

2. The scene where he got the crap beat out of him by Lex. No, not because Superman got beat up, because it was actually realistic and kind of sad to watch.

3. The scene where he was flying through the city near the end stopping whatever it was (I forgot) and saving people was kind of cool.

But that's about it...

Seriously, the man of steel playing peeping Tom? And you think that was a quality film?

At least it's better than Smallville. For the whole first season that guy straight up watches that ***** with a telescope. What's creepier than that?

As for my favorite lines, if you mean the lines I had the most fun making fun of, it would be that one Blackheart said to Mephisto (i think it was them), it went something like "first i'm gonna retire Ghost Rider, then i'm gonna retire you!!". Lol...

4. Hardly any action. Superman, a superhero, NEVER hits anybody. What the freak? He has all these powers. ALL these cool powers and super strength and doesn't hit somebody...that's why it's a poor excuse for a superhero movie in my opinion.

I somewhat agree with you on this, I would have liked to have seen more action in SR, but considering he'd be punching human beings, who do not have any alien powers, would be killed instantly. Doesn't it kind of go against the nobility of his character to do such a thing?

I've never seen Superman punch any normal human ever. He only punches people at his own power level or higher, or he would absolutely kill them...

On the contrary, I sort of noticed that a large percentage of the special effects in the movie, were instead used for saving people rather than fighting bad guys.

And the thing is, I think the majority of the feats that we see in the movie wasn't him fighting crime, but rather just saving people, ie from the falling plane or catching falling people or stopping the car from crashing into a crowd. Superheroes do that sorta thing, too, y'know?

I agree. And I loved both films. shocking.

*attempts to care but doesn't*

Maybe because I find those reasons incredibly stupid.

but that's just my opinion

is that so haaard

Okay, that's nice...

Anyway, get off that subject and back to the thread.

Tell me how Superman returns was any less realistic than ghost Rider

Lex Luthor is a genius who wants power and money...hes also crazy as all get out...his plan wasnt rational because hes not all there in the head...

You dont like the fact that Superman never hits anyone...tell me...how many punches does Ghost rider throw in his movie? Sure Ghost Rider causes a hell of a lot of damage and injures police officers...which I suppose is heroic in your view...but he saves absolutely no one and doesnt fight any real fights...but meanwhile you dont list that as a complaint against ghost rider...curious...

One of your criticisms of Superman Returns is that he doesnt wear a mask...NONE of the people who are complaining about ghost Rider are saying that his head shouldnt be a flaming skull...it shows taht you are simply biased towards your favorite characters.

You hates Supermans final battle...um...which "battles" did you like in Ghost Rider?

Superman had to die and come back to life to satisfy the people who dont read comics...you see...since most of the world doesnt read comics, most people thhink Superman is still dead in the comics. So, they had to show Superman come back to life, or survive death in a sense so that when hopefully people went to check out some comics after seeing the movie they wouldnt wonder why Superman is still alive.

"hhHHHYEEEEEEAAAAAARGH!!!" (first transformation and transforming bike)

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" (riding away from police station)

Sorry, but those are the things that really sent chills down my spine and a grin on my face. :D

"Back to hell" Did it for me too.

I love how I say "drop it" and you keep on going.:o

I was just responding to you...

Youre the one defending this realistic, action packed, multilayered story that is Ghost rider.

1. 3 punches.
2. he saves that fat ugly goth chick.
and who the f**k thinks superman is dead in the comics?

also, how heroic should he be? he's a f**king demon.

anyway, i thought the movie was ok. definitely had problems, but im not a huge GR fan so that didn't bother me so much. as far as favorite lines go:

"you're pissing me off"
"you're soul is stained with innocent blood" the penence stare was done remarkably well in the movie.

Yeah, he does save that one goth chick, I forgot about her...

and 3 punches in a superhero film???

Superman SAVES people...he isnt really a fighter so much as a hero...

Ghost Rider is a demon from hell gone right that takes on criminals the hard way...and he threw 3 punches???

Pathetic...

Mack: "This place could use a woman's touch"
JB: "so could you."

Blackhearts first screen time. (Not a line but an amazingly demonic scream.)

And, of course, the line they stole from the Bible.

"We are called Legion, for we are many."

well, to be fair, it was a PG-13 movie (which is a huge flaw), and if GR punched people there would have been some awesome gore. and it wouldn't have done him much good to punch the wind or water guys

Johnny: Maybe I got Lucky.

Mack: "My friends dog is named Lucky, he's got one eye and no nuts."

hahaha

That was my favorite as well, cracked me up.

It was great to see Ghost Rider talk AS Ghost Rider. For a moment I was afraid they were going to have him not say a word (much like the Hulk, who was mute save for a dream sequence in his movie), but instead stuff like "You're pissing me off..." brought a smile to my face. Heck, I even lliked the "yee ha"
