Marvel Films Favorite Marvel year in film?

What do you think was the strongest year in Marvel? You can count Marvel as a whole or just keep it to the MCU.

For me, it was 2014 when both of these bangers came out:

Captain America The Winter Soldier
Guardians of the Galaxy

And also Days of Future Past came out that year as well.

I might have to agree with you, Kane. 2014 was all killer no filler for Marvel movies. The Winter Soldier and Guardians of the Galaxy are still some of the best MCU movies 9 years later and Days of Future Past is one of the best Foxverse movies.

2018 and 2019 are very close to the top though. There's also a spot at the table for 2017 with Logan and Ragnarok alone.

2014, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 are all contenders for me.

This would be an easy choice for me if Captain Marvel had come out before Ant-Man and the Wasp, since then 2018 would have 3 movies that I love but...

I guess I'll pick 2019. Endgame was a hell of a ride and I loved Captain Marvel, too.

Whoa, my brain literally blocked out TASM2 when I was thinking about what Marvel movies came out in 2014.

In a way it was lucky to be sandwiched between The Winter Soldier and Days of Future Past because it was overshadowed by them.

Its failure reminded me of the failure of X3/Spider-Man 3 but it being final film in the rebooted series probably made it more notorious.

I thought I'd never see the day when a X-Men film outgrossed a Spider-Man film.

I personally wouldn't classify Blade II or Hulk as "duds".

Hulk (2003) underperformed commercially, that's true. But I found it innovative and still enjoy it to this day.

And Punisher War Zone is a blast, even though it also didn't set the box office on fire...

Hulk is one of the most unrewatchable Marvel films for me.

Blade II is rotten in RT so imo, thats a dud when it comes to critics. I didn't like the movie too.

Punisher War Zone is worse than Punisher 2004.

Yeah I find Hulk and Blade 2 to be criminally underrated. And on that subject I personally really enjoyed New Mutants too. Punisher War Zone, that's... another matter.

I guess 2011 and 2017.

Yeah going by RT scores if Thor is considered the "worst" Marvel film of 2011 and if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is considered the "worst" Marvel film of 2017 then those are pretty good years all things considered.
