Love the older Hellboy comics by Mignola.

2000AD was a huge part of my childhood. So oof course Judge Dredd.

Warren Ellis' initial run on The Authority is one of my all time favourite runs. Jenny Sparks is awesome.

Didn't we do this one already? Most listed, I'll add:
1920 -

1937
He was already passing the mantle to future generations, before the Phantom, before the myriad of other next gen heroes, He already had a "modern" legacy, driving around the city in a black roadster, chasing mobsters with tommy-guns, swinging from city rooftops, etc,. (before Batman existed).

1944
And although rarely (if ever) acknowledged by superhero fandom, even spun-off one of the first female led "superhero" action films. (before Supergirl, Catwoman, Elektra, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Black Widow, etc.)

Cue; Zorro isn't a superhero complaint.

He's absolutely one of the most influential proto-superheroes, and with pulpy Shadow, the Phantom, V, I'll add Ms. Fury, Diabolik (all who would also make my list) and others already listed here, he's in great company. Predates them all, and is one of the greatest influences on the genre. ;)
Jerry Siegel: "I loved The Mark of Zorro, and I'm sure that had some influence on me." ..."When writing the script, I had Douglass Fairbanks very much in mind in the athletic stunts that he did too, so the influence of Douglass Fairbanks was not only in the art but in the visual action."

Joe Shuster - "I was a great fan of Douglas Fairbanks, and so was Jerry and I tried to use his stance, the way Douglass Fairbanks looked, ...with his hands on his hips, in Robin Hood and Mark of Zorro, in all those he had those marvelous attitude..." " [His costume] was inspired by the costume pictures that Fairbanks did: they greatly influenced us. He did The Mark of Zorro, and Robin Hood, and a marvelous one called The Black Pirate - Fairbanks would swing on ropes very much like Superman flying... the feeling of action as he was flying or jumping or leaping - a flowing cape would give it movement.
Bill Finger - "Batman was a combination of Douglas Fairbanks [who played Zorro] and Sherlock Holmes."

Bob Kane -"Zorro’s use of a mask to conceal his identity as Don Diego gave me the idea of giving Batman a secret identity…Bruce Wayne would be a man of means who put on a façade of being effete. Zorro rode a black horse called Tornado and would enter a cave and exit from a grandfather clock in the living room. The bat-cave was inspired by this cave in Zorro. I didn't want Batman to be a Superhero with superpowers…So I made Batman an ordinary human being; he is just an athlete who has the physical prowess of Douglas Fairbanks, Sr., who was my all-time favorite hero in the movies.”

The Authority ( now technically DC)

Marshall Law (the ultimate anti super hero - I bet he was the inspiration for "The Boys ")

Nemesis the Warlock ( not really a super hero per se)

Miracle Man ( now technically Marvel)

NINJA TURTLES
MORTAL KOMBAT
ROBOCOP

Since Watchmen now the part of DCU, I really have hard time to pick outside the Big 2 Marvel and DC...but I have a lot of favorites and childhood heroes from Tokusatsu side of superheroes:

Metal Heroes:
Gavan
Sharivan
Shaider
Jiraiya
Tokkei Winspector

Kamen Rider:
V3
Stronger
BLACK RX
Kuuga
Hibiki
Ex-Aid
Build

Super Sentai:
Turboranger
Dairanger
Gingaman
Shinkenger
Ninninger
Kyuranger

Ultraman:
Taro
TIGA
DYNA
GAIA
ORB

Do they count?

Despite knowing next to nothing about it going in, surprised how much I enjoyed the Umbrella Academy, and it's cast of "heroes".

Just to give some pushback but in my book, V is not a superhero. And neither are Watchmen.

Mine would be:
Shaft
TMNT
James Bond

Watchmen are defiantly Superheroes (lapsed and fallen as they may be), but they were created under DC, so wouldn't count in this thread anyway.
The analogues pre-DC owned, pre-Alan More repurposed,non-DC/Marvel team would be the Charlton/AC Action heroes: loosely recognized as The Sentinels.

SENTINALS%20EDIT.jpg

Question - Rorschach
Blue Beetle - Night-Owl
Captain Atom - Dr Manhattan
Nightshade/Phantom Lady - Silk Spectre
Peacemaker - Comedian
Thunderbolt - Ozymandias

I'll add the Rankin/Bass Pacific Animation Corp. Universe heroes:
Cats - Hawks - Sharks

The Pulp era heroes united under the Dynamite Masks label:

(arguable more ParanormalHeroes though there are plenty of superheroes in that vein)
The Mignola Hellboy U.

Naturally the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, TMNT, Street Sharks, Spawn and back in the day I did love Jim Lee's WildCATS.

Even had the SNES game:

Just for the life of me I couldn't tell you the plot of WildCATS though.

Just to give some pushback but in my book, V is not a superhero. And neither are Watchmen.

Shaft
TMNT
James Bond

If you say Shaft, I gotta add Coffy:

Pam Grier was the first action heroine.

Pam Grier was the first action heroine.
Love her, though she wasn't the first,
Nyoka Gordon (Kay Aldridge), and The Black Whip Lady Zorro (Linda Stirling) amongst others at least say different.

If invoking exploitation era heroes (parodies)
They need to team these three non-Marvel/DC Super-Action Hero universes up.

I get that Watchmen are modeled off of the Charleton Comics characters, but I stand behind my position that I have legit concerns about anyone who thinks that Watchmen are superheroes.
If you say Shaft, I gotta add Coffy:
Pam Grier is THE action movie heroine.

A few to mention but principally, it will always be....

G-Force - Battle of the Planets.

5 working as 1.
