I've just never been a fan of the battle suit look. Looking at these images, one of the things that sticks out for is how much more human his eyes look in IW, and I think that was a good decision.

Definitely the Infinity War look. That's where they really made the character come alive at a whole different level. He's also not blue.

There's no beating his appearance in Infinity War. The CGI is just superb. I liked how he looked in GOTG and the AOU post credits scene as far as comic accuracy goes, but I prefer the real eyes of the IW Thanos. They give him more depth than the blue glowing eyes. As for his first appearance in The Avengers, I even knew back then that was only a prototype version of Thanos, but they seem to have went back to that version's skin tone for IW. Either that or it was just a lighting thing in GOTG and AOU.

As far as his outfit goes, when his Infinity War look was revealed, I wasn't a fan of the tank top at first. I thought that he should have his armor on at all times and that he looks like he's going to the gym instead of going to war. But it really grew on me. I do like his armored look, both in GOTG and IW, but I also like how the more stones he acquired, the less he felt the need to protect himself since he was gaining all the power he needed in the gauntlet. That being said, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him armored again in Avengers 4.

IW particularly with human like eyes for sure. Mo cap cgi with blue glowing eyes are just not gonna convey the same emotions and relatability. The less fantastical and alien design the better and Russos made a great choice... Never cared for the armor personally.

Agreed. My buddy has the opposite opinion on our podcast: (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/franchisewars/id1286433288?mt=2#episodeGuid=Buzzsprout-696080), but I personally like how reserved and stripped down the entire Infinity War design is. Considering how even at his most humble, Thanos is still a grandiose and cosmic threat, drawing his aesthetic back to a more casual and "human" look with the sleeveless shirt and bald head allows him to seem just that tiny bit more genuine and natural; it also acts to draw more attention to the performance by Brolin.

I could dig the Armor coming back, but I kind of want him to keep the the bald bare-headed look, since it does make him seem more serious.

I liked his more comic accurate armor in GOTG/AOU the most, but his face, skin, and CGI in Infinity War blew everything else out of the water.
