Well, Egon has ALWAYS been my favorite Ghostbuster, followed by Winston, then Ray, and then Peter. Venkman's funny, but he's not too likeable.

When I was younger I wanted my mother to call me "Egon" and, ironically, I now look somewhat like Harold Ramis. Scary.

Egon is definately my fave Ghostbuster after Pete Venkman. As a character I probably like him more (but Murray so owns the Venkman persona that as a whole Venkman comes out on top).

He saved New York at end of Ghostbuster 2 without help.

He got his share of love in the cartoons as well. Just never came off as a full fledged GB if you ask me, but then again he did "save" everyone at the end of GB2.

Well, given I was raised with the Ghostbusters cartoon, I say Winston.

He was more developed and the best character in the cartoon series.
