What is everyone's favourite origin film.

Have tried to include all major choices and an other for those I may have missed (please forgive me, if your fave isn't there, can add)

Ok, here we go....

(poll now added), sorry bit of a cluster**** putting this together, scrapped idea of the 'studio' and have just made it into an origin straight choice regardless of studio or backers as such.

DC would probably be the same as my favorite comic book film period- Batman Begins.

Fox...by default, I think the only origins you have there are the original X-Men, X-Men Origins Wolverine and MAYBE First Class, so probably First Class.

Marvel Studios...it's a toss-up between Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk. I need to watch TIH again, but right now, since Iron Man is fresher in my mind, I lean towards that.

Sorry Nick, you may want to post again, I've slightly changed the parameters of voting and focus of the poll. Feel free to post again. MK.

MCU
Captain America: The First Avenger

Sony:
Men in Black

Fox:
X-Men: First Class

DCEU:
Right now as someone who has not seen Wonder Woman from start to end, I have to go with Man of Steel.

Other DC films:
Batman Begins

Out of the big 2 comic publishers:
The Mask

A not comic book superhero movie:
RoboCop

Order from favorite to least favorite:
  • Batman Begins
  • RoboCop
  • Men in Black
  • Captain America: The First Avenger
  • The Mask
  • Man of Steel (I fully acknowledge it as a mediocre movie, but I still highly enjoy it)
  • X-Men: First Class

Look left and take a guess.

Best comic book movie ever made.

I predict this poll will have a pretty obvious winner.

I love X-Men (though not quite so much as an origin), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 90 and Superman but for best I think Batman Begins.

Superman The Movie. Simple as that. It was the movie that all the other directors like Nolan, Jenkins, & Singer said they looked to as a template.

Batman Begins overall. But maybe I'm Batman-biased.

Non-Batman - Deadpool. At least, it's an origin film that I rewatched the most outside Batman films.

Voted for Iron Man, mainly because I know what result MK is going for.

Batman Begins.

I love that film and it’s also my favorite from the whole Nolan Trilogy (yeah, I’m one of those freak-shows who like it over The Dark Knight).

Iron Man

Other high choices for me:

The Crow
Batman
Batman Begins
Ninja turtles

Captain America: The First Avenger. The visuals are gorgeous, the acting is superb, all of the characters are developed skillfully, and the tone is serious with just enough signature Marvel humor to keep it from feeling bleak.

If I haaaad to pick one it'd be TMNT. But really its a 3 way tie along with the Crow and Watchmen.

I'd put Hook and The Rocketeer way up there if they count too.

Deadpool with Batman Begins and Doctor Strange close behind.

A) I haven't voted yet and B) I've given an even spread, if a MCU or Marvel film wins this, then so be it.

There is no 'ulterior motive' on my reasoning, I just thought it would be an 'exciting, interesting' debate to have.

For me it's GotG hands down, love everything about that movie. Second would be Iron Man, then BB.
