That's how I remember it in the Nostalgia Critic review of that movie.

V for Vendetta, The Last Stand and especially Rise of the Silver Surfer of The Coming of Galactus definitely deserve shame for what they did to the source material but I think the worst was Iron Man 2 of Demon in a Bottle.

I enjoyed V for Vendetta and thought it did well given the limitations of a 2 hour running time - a t.v. series would be necessary to capture all the subtleties and subplots of the story.

Rise of the Silver Surfer I thought got the Surfer and the FF right but was awful in terms of Dr Doom and Galactus.

The Silver Surfer was OK but still pretty underwhelming compared to in the comic, I thought Chiklis was pretty good and Evans OK in the first movie but in the second, aside from a very few bits of banter, they just seemed like they really didn't want to be there, were bored by everything and not putting effort in and Alba and IG moreso. And yes the villains were terrible.

V for Vendetta was an OK movie as a movie (mostly due to just the visuals and basic thematic ideas and some of the text for that) but also a mess as both a story and social commentary and in particular it felt obvious that V was toned down but not even enough for doing that to work well.
