Spider-Man! Here's your chance to tackle the web slinger and/or any of his rogues gallery, friends, foes, etc. Anything goes!

RULES:
* Contest is open to everyone.
* Submit / post your entry here in this thread.
* DO NOT swipe, trace or steal the artwork of another artist and pass it off as your own. This is for ORIGINAL works. References are fine, but copying/tracing is not. Always credit your references.
* Do not post Works In Progress in this thread. Make your own thread for that This thread is for your final submissions
* Also, please do not spam the contest thread by re-posting / quoting your entry multiple times
* Photo Manipulations are allowed
* One entry per user.

sorry. you caught me trying to rush to put this thread together in the rare few minutes i've had of late

This will be my Feb Submission though it is in progress - I will update it as it is complete - it won't be complete for awhile and some parts may change a sneak peak to it

It will be full body galactus pose with a scale Silver Surfer

Galactus is originally a world eater foe of the Fantastic 4 - creator of the "Silver Surfer" (or made him his Harold to eat worlds)
He's basically max stats on everything if you go power level - however he must eat worlds to maintain it
Just about every major Marvel hero met or fought against or besides him at some point and time
COSMIC level bad guy

ok i've finally read this and caught up

first things first, the galactus image is out, if for no other reason than that it does not follow the theme of this month's challenge.

as for the swiping/charges etc, this is a tough subject. if you use a photo/lineart as a reference for your art, then this is allowed. however if one is simply tracing over an image and just recoloring, then that isn't really an original artwork in that the lines were not created by you and does not adhere to the contests rules.

on that note, i've modified the rules slightly, in hopes that this better resolves the subject and have deleted some posts in this thread that deviated too far in hopes of keeping the contest in line and not detract other posters from participating.

suggestions:
1) make 'finals only' a rule, not just a note.
2) add a rule against spamming the contest thread by re-posting / quoting your entry multiple times.

hopefully these rules will squelch self-promotion and replace it with more reaction to others' entires.

I caught you swiping. Your entry isn't allowed. You have to do another one.

If you swipe again, it won't be allowed. Those are the rules of the contest.

As well, you swiped your entry for the January match up. I have no problem with calling you out on that. There's evidence, and it's obvious.

No need to try to censor me. No need to call my posts "problematic". What you need to do is stop swiping your poses for art in this contest.

And, before you jump all up and down and say this is personal, let me assure you that it is not. There's no name calling on my part. Nor am I going into your art thread and calling you out there. I'm simply saying that, as the rules state, swiping is not allowed in this contest... And you've been busted for doing it twice now.

Please stop.

Please produce original works.

Cosmic spiderman

From When he had the powers of Captain Universe - and could kick just about anyone's ____

Yes I know in comics he was usually depicted blue and white but Blue is often a reference color for Black and black fits better in this scene

Note on this art instead of how the comics did this character of simple dots for space - I went a bit further (may be easier to see in full size image link above) I added planets, stars and space to his costume to make more of a "cosmic" look

I created all the art planets - space etc
