So I'm at work, on break, reading a comic and some dude comes up to me and starts talking comics. That's all fine but then he goes onto to talk about comics he bought when he was a kid and he starts bragging that he owned all of Maxium Carnage and he goes on about how awesome the Death of Superman and he has like 3 copies of Spawn #1 and can't wait to cash them in. And I just nodded the entire time and agreed with everything he said. I think the words "Carnage ruled" actually came out of my mouth.
****, I feel dirty. But every so often I'll have a conversation like this and everytime I nod and pretend everything they like doesn't suck. I swear next time, I'm going to scream "you ruined the 90's for me" and run away in tears.
:csad:

He'll get it when he doesn't fetch more than cover price for Spawn #1.

The funny thing is, that's how most people who don't read comics react when you talk about comics to them "Oh, you read Spider-Man? How nice....."

I don't have those types of conversations... :o

When I talk comics, most others listen...

:yay: :yay: :yay:

Same here. No one I know actually knows a damn thing about comics. Hence all the time I spend around here. :o

I actually did like Maximum Carnage, though. :oldrazz:

Yeah I get this every now and then too. It's a loose/loose situation because;

A) The person wants to talk comics. For me this is rare because everyone I know hates or doesn't really care for comics. So naturally I want to continue the conversation.

B) They'll start saying how they still have X-Men #1(from the 90's) or other crap, and I have to play along. Then they'll say how much X3 rocked....:csad:
