most of you guys know that SR used a new digital camera called the Genesis. I honestly felt that the many parts of the film were not very well lit, and that the film looked murky in many parts. It is indeed a beautiful film at times but i cant help but think that the new camera affected the overall look of the film.

I think that "hazy" look was intentional, to make it appear more dream-like.

I think it was "muddy" as some say during the time that New Krypton rose up from the sea. I would say it was due in large part to create the effect of a dark overcast sky. I didn't find anything wrong with it.

They used a lot of 'mood lighting' on Lois - a softening effect more common in the 40's and 50's. If you thought it was 'muddy' that was because of the lighting, not the camera.

You mean muddy as in too dark? if so then yeah most of the flying shots especially at the end when Superman waves Lois goodbye seemed dark to me.

i agree. it was dark but in a way where it was TOO dark..

Then how come Superman and Lois are clearly visible while flying at nighttime in STM?

there were some parts that was a little too dark, even for an IMAX film. i thought it was normal

So you didn't get to see the Visuals clearly like spiderman???

how come every actor in hollywood is clearly visible at night time?

I've notice the clips of it on TV are much brighter and colorful than in the theater.

What I actually noticed during both of my IMAX viewings was that in select darker scenes (non 3D), the picture was very grainy. It was odd, like when Martha and Clark are talking in the beginning, the show Martha and around it her there is alot of grain, then they close up on Clark and the picture is jaw dropping. Odd.
