Films you just took a chance on one day that ended up becoming favourites of yours

Goodfellas - the time it came out I was just 14 so I had no interest in dramas but after seeing countless stand-up comics doing Joe Pesci's impersonation and the references to it on Animaniacs I saw it one day on AMC and it was magnificent.

I actually think this ones over rated. Not bad, just way over hyped.

Catch Me If You Can - not a favorite but it was on TBS and found it really entertaining especially since I work at a bank so I was fascinated with how Leo DiCaprio's character forged bank checks.

Drive

Didn't really know much of Ryan Gosling and I figured the movie would just be another Fast & Furious type deal.

However I was pleasantly surprised. It's now one of my favorite movies of all time.

Cellular - it was a blind buy but ended up loving it. I love films like these where you don't really expect anything but end up loving it.
