Greetings all,
As some of you may know this is the LAST official "Excelsior" Fan Art Contest! - I've been doing the contest almost from day one of SHH, over 10 years! - I've seen a ton of great artists post here in the monthly contests, and it is with heavy heart that my time with the contests must come to and end. I will still float the forums, and always be here checking in... So with that said, lets get the party started!
CONTEST!
GOLDEN AGE HEROES! - This is a free-for-all and is wide open. You want to see what Spidey would like if he were designed in the 40's? - Do your version of Superman #1 or Detective Comics #27 - anything goes! Villains welcome too!
What is the Golden Age?
The Golden Age of Comic Books was a period in the history of American comic books, generally thought of as lasting from the late 1930s until the late 1940s. During this time, modern comic books were first published and enjoyed a surge of popularity; the archetype of the superhero was created and defined; and many of the most famous superheroes debuted, among them Superman, Batman, Captain America, and Wonder Woman. The period saw the arrival of the comic book as a mainstream art form, and the defining of the medium's artistic vocabulary and creative conventions by its first generation of writers, artists, and editors.

Contest is open to everyone.
Submit / post your entry here in this thread.
DO NOT swipe or steal the artwork of another artist and pass it off as your own.
DEADLINE:
April 30th 2010 (midnight PST)
You have a full month to do your best work, show me what you can do! - I want to have my socks blown off with this contest!
WINNER:
Winner will be announced after April 30th - Voting TBD!
OK gang there ya go... Remember this is the LAST "Official Fan Art Contest" hosted by yours truly, it's the end of an era, - so everyone bring your A-game. - The contests will continue (I hope) after this one.
