I only played the beta for several months on 360 so I can't say for sure, but I would imagine so. It seems to be the norm.
I don't know if you've actually played it yet or not, but I would reccommend it. I enjoyed it more than WoW.

Final Fantasy 11 was my first MMO, and while I like aspects of this game I quitted due to the fact that it's too much like a job, the cap-breaking quests (Genkai) were ridiculous (although they might have changed it since), the mandantory partying in order to level (no soloing after lvl 10), and the end game is all about joining a guild that runs AF II, Ring of Fire, and other things that took the fun out of the game (my friend was into those big time). I do appreciate the fact that FFXI forces you to become a good MMO player, however, unlike WOW which some people were still clueless about their class after 70.
