Fine Brothers spark fury with YouTube trademark attempt

Yeah, I have no clue why you need 40 employees for their operation, but oh well.

I recommend listening ten to the podcast Cordkillers. They're all about the growth of digital content, the hosts wife works for YouTube and has worked with the fine brothers, and had a lawyer on to discuss the nature of trademarks. It makes the most sense to me in my opinion.

Never heard of these guys.

lol, it's been a week later and every video they release, whether it be on the main channel or their side REACT channels, have an overwhelmingly high amount of dislikes over likes in each video with most of the comments hashtagging silly stuff and boycotting the hell out of therm, even on their social media accounts, nothing but hateful trollish comments and replies.

I stand corrected from what i said earlier, this isnt a quick fix that'll disappear when the internet gets bored of them, this is going to take months to fix, hell even years at this point, poor sods, lol.

They are finally regaining subscribers but they've lost in the process over half a million people. They may actually never fully recover from this.

I thought they lost over a million? Or did they regain around another 500k?

I haven't really been keeping up with this.

The like/dislike ratio may seem trivial but it can hurt you in the long run. More likes = more visibility. Videos with 3 dislikes for every like will not appear in any "recommended" lists.

They may have gained some back but in total they lost a good 500K. They were averaging close to 8,000 subs per day until this happened. Now they are averaging a loss of 13,000 per day. I've also noticed every time they release a video now their subs loss spikes upward. Their subs loss started to flatten at around 1,500 per day about a week ago, but on Thursday when they released a new vid it jumped to 5,500 unsubscribes. It's happened again today, they've released a new video and the subscriber lose has spiked again. This isn't a good situation for them.
