Hey guys

I've had a problem tonight with a browser hijacker, I used system restore to go back to Friday and hoped that would remove it.

However even though that seemed to work, when I tried to connect to the net via Firefox I got this message.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I looked up the problem and I think I may have found the solution

Step 1 Click the "Tools" tab in Firefox which will display a drop-down menu. Click "Options" from the menu.

Step 2 An Option Dialogue Box will appear. Select the "Advanced" tab.

Step 3 On the "Advanced" screen, click the "Network" tab, and then the "Settings" tab.

Step 4 Select the option that says "No Proxy."

Step 5 Click "OK," then click "OK" again on the next screen. You have now disabled the proxy settings.

Thanks man :) I actually came across that as well while struggling away on IE and through this mess I also came across FireFox 4, which I am now getting used to as it is a bit different lol.

Ah good then
Yeah Firefox 4 is something to get used to but if you haven't tried it, right click on your tab window or menu bar and uncheck the Tabs on top option. It will look somewhat familiar.

Thanks for the tip, that does look more natrual. :D One thing I do like is the way the tab not in use dulls, i also prefer the loading circle on the tab as opposed to the bottom and the info when you put your cursor over a link just being shown in a small note at the bottom left of the screen, it's neater.

Ugh one annoying thing is the fact you can't highlight search options with the mouse in the drop down google search bar. :(

yeah, I rarely use it though so I'm okay with that I suppose. I do love the new Add-ons Manager.

I'm just lazy and liked my old drop down bar at the top left, although I see you can once again store site addresses in the address bar. The add ons manager does make the process a lot easier.
