First Bond Film in IMDB's Top 250

hey mister sinister, you quoted James wrong. he said "do i look like i give a damn?"

That's cause it's new. Remember when LOTR was #1 on the TOP 250?

IMDB is a stupid website in terms of ratings. A lot of people just vote really stupidly

Just because it's new doesn't mean the votes aren't valid. Certainly the ratings will fluctuate when a movie is first released, but I wouldn't expect the rating for this movie to change too much, the rating has been pretty solid for the last 4 days or so

You have to understand that since its new more people are likely to see it. Dr. No (the first Bond film) was released in 1962. How many regular moviegoers do you think have seen that film?

Obviously, but what I mean is just because it's new doesn't necessarily mean the rating will settle somewhere far off from where it is now.

You'd be surprised. Spider-Man when first released back in 2002 was in the TOP 250. Look it at now.

Well only a score of 7.8 is needed to get into the 250 so it's not that far off. (Spider-Man, that is.)

The most I would expect CR to drop down to would be maybe around 7.6.

Many movies are in 250 shortly after they are released but a vast majority of them wont stay there.

Well spider-man was a slightly less than mediocre movie anyway.

CR was ****ing mindblowing, but if any Bond film truly deserves a place in the Top 250, it's Goldfinger. That being said, CR definitely has enough merits as well.

How....undeserving. I love the movie but it ain't top 250. I think only one Bond movie is at that status and its Goldfinger. The others range from great to terrible but none deserve to be on that list otherwise though.

I don't think any of the Bond films really deserve to be in the top 250 films, except for FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE (most would say GOLDFINGER, but I find that film more than a little overrated - it's iconic, sure, but not quite as perfect as it's made out to be).

CASINO ROYALE probably won't stay there for long, though.
