If you go to that past and mess something up, then everything that comes after it will change. For instance, if you go very far back in time and step on a butterfly (butterfly effect, get it?) then many things can change in your present.

Actually, the term stems from the concept of a Butterfly flapping it's wings in China causes a hurricane in Florida. It has nothing to do with Time Travel specifically, and more to do with the idea that every action, no matter how minor, effects everything around it, so through a very long chain of cause and effect, something as insignificant as a butterfly flapping it's wings in China can cause a hurricane in Florida. The concept is just used in time travel stories a lot.

One of us one of them eh? Sounds like one hero and one villain may go somehwwere?

Correct on all aspects.

I'd like to expand on this by saying that "The Butterfly Effect" has been emphasized in time travelling movies or shows, because the same thing applies - as in the smallest change you make in the past, can cause a significant change to the future that you remember.

The last time that term was used in Heroes, it was to signify that their field teams usually consisted of "one of us, and one of them," "us" and "them" referring to a normal human, teaming up with an enhanced one.

I hope we get to see some new people from the company. A new duo like HRG and the Hatian.

With a bit of luck "Dreamtime" will reveal who Peter got his prophetic dreams from.:o

I'd say it is Charles Deveaux but there is a rumor going around that Angela Petrelli's power is a power Peter has used but the audience hasn't seen her use that ability yet. So that could mean that Angela has that dream ability but then what the hell is Charles' ability? It already is a strange ability considering that scene in How to stop an exploding man.

wow, you thought the butterfly effect was about stepping on butterflies?:wow:

Meh, my mistake. I thought it related to the Ray Bradbury story where the men go back in time to hunt dinosaurs and one of them accidently kills a butterfly, which changes history and when they come back to the present, everything is different.

Hiro even referenced it back in season one, thats why I thought thats what it was.

just watch the Ashton Kutcher movie to know what the butterfly effect is. It whole lot better than reading about it. :o

Or that Simpsons Treehouse Of Horror where Homer uses his toaster to go back in time. :woot:

I hope Dreamtime is the return of The Nightmare Man

yes sad as in horrible, how the hell does
a baby choke itself with its own umbilical chord lol
well, my sister did.I would ask how if she were alive.

I think Charles Devaux had the dream powers becuase he came to Peter in a dream and they shared a dream about flying the night he died.
I think Angela's power has to do with her voice. She mentioned that Claire had 'her mouth' when they met, and Peter used a creepy loud voice to yell at Sylar when they were fighting- perhaps it was somehtin he got from mommy!

I wish it was September now I'm dieing to know what these episodes are. I found out three episodes will be about Claire, which is some thing I did not want. I hope they at least have subplots in the episodes for me. I want to see Peter train some in this season, I hope the first episode is about Peter going back in time and learning about his powers and where he got some of them from that would be nice.

I dont mind a few episodes that has claire as the center as long as they make her interesting again, and i think it would be most logical to have peter and matt searching for others with abilities to help them take down the company once and for all, im also curious to see the relationship peter will have with his mother and his reunion with syler.

Another time Peter had a creepy voice was when he confronted Isaac in his studio. Could just be coicidence or it could have something to do with Mama P.

the power of persuasion maybe? Angela touched nathan's wife on the arm in the hospital after Nathan got his burns and next thing we know there are divorce proceedings. There was something odd about how the camera focused on that touch

Yeah, I thought was weird too, it just seems odd that they would do another character with a persuasion power. They'd have to make it substantially different in some way.

I thin Angela can teleport because of some of Kaito's comments in s2e01.:o

I thought that too, teleportation or invisiblity, but the latter has been done of course. Teleporting would be cool though, and would further cement the idea that Hiro could be Angela and Kaito's secret love child!
