So, I guess he was pretty young when he contributed so greatly to the War effort in 1945.

Yeah, he looks about 50 there, which would make him 20-21 in 1945. Maybe he was a young genius like Tony? I suppose he could be in his 50's there, putting him vaguely in his 20's during the war. That could kinda work.

If not, I think it's a cool idea. It would be awesome to see Howard tell Tony about Steve Rogers or something. They could have gotten an actor who looks more like RDJ though.

Probably... he couldn't have been Oppenheimer's age or anything. Say Stark was born in the late 60's or early 70's, Howard was born in the early 1920's and was probably in his mid to late 40's when he had Tony. Obidiah was late 50's-early 60's in Iron Man so he had to be over twenty years younger than Howard Stark for it to make sense. Crimson Dynamo could have been in between Howard and Obi's age since Rourke's character is a few years older than Tony.

I tend to agree. Don't forget that Tony gets much of his looks from his mother Maria as well.
