Flash/Green Lantern team-up movie?

Well, share holders care about money, so they're relatively easy to please.

DC Comic fans are not a happy and proud bunch and I doubt that it will be much different in near future.

Fixed. :o

I don't want to spoil your fun here, but I when it comes to team up movies, I would rather see the green duo Arrow/Lantern.
The first cinematic Flash will be better of as a solo adventure. Why have GL there to complicate things? It doesn't really make any sense for them to work together.
If this actually is the shared DCCU, why would Hal pick Barry as his partner and not Kal-El? Supes is supposed to be the first super powered hero in this world, right? I don't see the logic in this. Shouldn't the Lantern corps investigate the kryptonian and try to find out more about him by using their first earthly recruit for that mission?
Flash and GL are so different from each other and I don't see how this could work story-wise unless the writers come up with a far-fetched explaination and force it into the plot. GL and Supes have the cosmic thing in common, but a member of the corps doesn't share anything with Flash (except that they both wear costumes).

GA and GL is very different from each other too. But the combination of them is a more known team-up. They even had their own comic book once.

The actual answer is that it's Warner Brothers that have decided to have them meet just to have as many DC heroes as possible on the big screen.
But why don't they trust Flash with a solo film? They give Shazam an own adventure. Does he really have more potential than The Scarled Speedster?

Mark Waid wrote a well-received mini with Jordan/Allen as the GL/Flash teamup.

Regarding GL/GA-- if they do, I guess they'll end up ignoring the political backdrop of the original team-up comics, which was part of the appeal.

I would be surprised and subsequently disappointed if it were anything other than Hal and Barry.

Wally and Kyle would be fun to see somewhere way down the line, but not right out of the gate. If they do ever get to a Wally and Kyle lineup for the JL, I hope they include Connor Hawke as well. I liked the dynamic that the three of them had.

Back to Hal and Barry, I want this to feel like a buddy cop movie with a comedic twist and lots of heart. There's no way that I can see dark-and-gritty panning out well for this.

A GL/Flash team up makes a lot more sense than a GA/GL team up. The problem is the villain, I have no idea what villains they should use here

Flashes and GLs have teamed up even more often than GL and Arrow. Jordan and Allen is the best known combo, pre-dating the GL/GA series, but over the years, the duos of Garrick/Scott, Rayner/West, Stewart/West have often appeared in one another's titles to broaden the exposure of the characters.

I would say that this is a weird match up for a movie but I doubt it will ever see the light of day.

The film may end up as dozens of other so-called "planned" films, and end up in dev. hell.

It all depends on if "World's Finest" (I will call it that) and Justice League are successful or not.

Yeah of the films on that apparent schedule, I'd say this is the most unlikely :( which is ******, because this is arguably the one I'm most excited for, besides Justice League..

Which couple do you think it will be on the big screen?
Hal and Barry or Wally and John Stewart?
Do they mix Kyle and Hal and put him with Barry?

Out of Finkes report (even though it seems she may have been Trolled) I hope the Green Lantern/Flash team up film actually comes to fruition.

If it can be executed in a fresh, buddy cop style team film with witty funny banter but with some great action and drama attached...than it would be a success. It would be a fresh take within the superhero genre, since no team up films have been executed in that way yet. Avengers and Justice League would not count since those are ensemble team films.

Having just two superheroes team up from the get go and having a tone similar to say Rush Hour buddy team up films would work IMO.

Jake Gyllenhaal as Barry Allen/The Flash and Chris Pine as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern would work for me. Both are the same age at 33 and are versatile solid name actors who would be able to carry the film to be a great success and hit.

Agreed. This one seems like the least likely unfortunately....even though it should be one of the top ones on the list IMO.

If executed in the buddy cop style of film with witty, funny banter in a similar tone as the Rush Hour films....it would be a refreshing take within the superhero genre of films.

I hope the film will focus a little more on Flash than GL. They can even show his origin story. Have him be the actual main character (but with GL close behind).
The same goes for the bad guy(s). Let it be one or two of Flash's rouges

It is a fantastic idea if executed properly...hope WB's get a story treatment going and start looking at directors and actors immediately.
Hopefully, they will cast more known names than Gadot and Momoa :) Or at least actors that actually look like the characters

A Flash/GL movie would be awesome! Barry and Hal for sure!

Jensen Ackles for Hal Jordan. Or Barry/Wally.

Honestly, of all the ones announced, I think this is by far the least likely to happen.

1. Its the second last movie, meaning the most opportunities beforehand for a disaster to happen and/or WB to get cold feet

2. Its a team up movie between two basically-unknown characters

3. The only movie either of them have had to date was a legendary trainwreck

It could still happen, but if I were a betting man, I'd say the it has the strongest odds of being canned.

( the second strongest odds would be Shazam, sigh )

Yeah everything is up in the air until Justice League is released. If Justice League is a huge success and Flash/GL are well received, i'm sure the plan is to spin them off, but if Justice League fails, Superman, Batman and MAYBE Wonder Woman movies only for the foreseeable future

I might be in the minority on this, but I'm actually more of a fan of both Kyle Rayner and Wally West than I am Hal Jordan and Barry Allen. So, I'd like to see them in the team-up film. This is just me, though. I know Hal/Barry was a far more common team-up and more iconic in regard to the comic, but I just think Kyle and Wally are better characters overall. Heck, I'd even be for using Hal Jordan as Parallax as the film's villain!
